Alright, kids.
First off.
((OOC: This is still a newspaper. Despite Bite being "online" and having to be in a forum format due to accessibility, forums and threads and offlines are OOC terms. You know how to adjust the words to fit how we RP these things. Come on, now. This whole thing probably needed to go into the OOC section anyway, with the way the initial post was termed.))
Now, then. It's all well and good to know "how" this particular editorial notice came about. It's great that you guys can go back and forth and debate and rebutt and such. That's what we like here.
That being said.. this is NOT the Gallagher and Lestat show and we need to leave a few openings for other readers to contribute to the conversation. It's nice that we know where some of this came from. The rest is coming out a lot like a conversation that could be had in private.
We like knowing why things happen and how things happen. Dragging your personal conversations out in public.. not many people like that so much. I won't tell you to take it to private nor force you to.. I'd just suggest it as a friend to save you both further humiliation.
Discuss on about what you feel the duties of an Editor should be, folks.

Alright, I was going to refrain from doing this, but I can only bite my tongue for so long when it's something that I can relate to on a personal level.
Offering assistance in the areas of grammar and whatnot is not meant to be an "I'm better than you" show of intelligence.
It's simply lending a helping hand. I also grow tired of how I'm shunned for offering such assistance like I've just asked a straight man to put on women's clothing and parade around with it on in public.
If helpfulness is not desired, it can be ignored easily enough, though... noticing the picture at the beginning of this... I can't help but think, "the more you know..."

I am so glad that this thread remained open for such serious discussion about what writers should and shouldn't be able to do. This thing was better locked.

Keep complaining when you contributed to the off-railing of the topic, darling.

Hey, I'm just going on with the topic at hand.
Topic: White writers can do. Gallagher says "This is all about me" (Really? Assuming again.) Topic officially derailed into a bitch fight (my bad) Locked (derailed) Trannies Magnets Toast The Off-Topic-ness of the thread.
And that's where we stand now. This thread has not been on topic for a very long time, which is why I locked it.
The "perfect debate" was a discussion about an instant message had between to people, hardly worth keeping this topic open.

I locked this myself! I'm worried it'll just turn into a bigger mess. Am I trying to tell people what they can and cannot say? Not at all. I'm actually saying that I'm going to go write up a little section, probably in Rules, that states what moderator powers are, and what they can do. So, read more there.
