Personally, I think Kaelani siring under Ace was for protection, which then led to Ace's bloodthirst that he had been having for awhile. So then he used it as an excuse for a war. On what, exactly? 'Easy pickings'. Not being rude at all, mainly calling L'inconnu that on the sheer fact that they had really just gotten out of a big war. They were still in recovery from the last. Good Game. Really. I hope you enjoy this small win, Mister Dumont. *Snorts* An outside party's view is always good to hear. Action versus inaction. Word versus war. Growth and learning versus stagnation. May it be. Just saying as it comes, Moon Pie. And.. well, just look at Lyri's post... clarifies more about how possibly many others of us may see this as.

No thank-you, Deylin. I've the ability to form my own opinions and thoughts. Lyric's view, while a nice ploy at stabbing the Dumont famiy honor, falls short. "We're hiring the SOD to fight for us" should never be the answer from a warring clan. Funny that only the succor heads were targetted for death, given that they are not the only comatants. Perhaps what is meant to be viewed as "The Dumonts trying to push war on L'in" is merely another form of strategy. Ever intricate is the web of a spider, dear.
Though I will admitt, seeing the SOD involving themselves with another clan's grudges, even while paid is a bit of a shock to me.
Three sides to every story, the trick in finding the third side, the absolute truth, is being able to step away from the situation and place fact with intent. Enjoy.

And assuming that this clan hired the Splinters to do something they're perfectly capable of doing themselves isn't knocking on their honor?

I do believe Lyric stated that the Splinters were hired to take care of the "Mess". I could be lacking in my critical reading skills, if so, please let me know.

I know what I hear, I hear what I know. Both sides. Both from Mister Ace himself, and Lestat. Don't try to say I don't know anything from the third side, my dear.
Now go play your part as Rena, you're doing poorly. Enjoy.

And, for clarity, you missed the third truth, which is the one I suggested you seek to begin with.

Perhaps the third truth is simply this:
We are blood thirsty creatures and actually need little to no reason to start a war. Supposed slights can become traitorous slander, and who got caught quickly becomes who takes the fall.
But that's just my view...

Hoo, angry gays, run for cover!…anyways. I can't say I'm taking sides in this matter but I suppose it would only be logical to get pissed off once the Splinters are hired to take out the Patriarch of a family. Is that not what kinship is about? That being said, I also think it's a matter of self-preservation. What was that saying again..? "All is fair in love and war." Though, I have to agree with black dragonet; it is not the size of either side that matters. It is the skill and dedication of each Clan member; it’s anyone’s game. So, instead of sitting around and pretending I know (or pretending I care to know) the intentions of the head of the Dumont family and the leaders of L’in, I’d like to wish good luck to all involved in this conflict. Give them hell. Perhaps the third truth is simply this: We are blood thirsty creatures and actually need little to no reason to start a war. Supposed slights can become traitorous slander, and who got caught quickly becomes who takes the fall. But that's just my view... Though it is true that we are blood-thirsty creatures, we are also civilized beings with minds of our own and the power to judge right from wrong. Although, when I see certain people, I begin to doubt that… About damn time. At least the Dumonts know how to get it poppin. My lipgloss is poppin’… *hums* …fuck.

Point or no, that's fucking hilarious. Also, I don't mean to sound rude in asking this, but... I must admit that I've never heard of "Clan Unity" before. Any insight on that one? *clicks over to the clan adverts to make sure something wasn't missed*

Oh, so it's a 'ploy' you say? I fail to see the point that you're trying to make. Your point of view in this situation appears to be rather skewed; perhaps that is the reason. Or perhaps you know exactly how things currently lie, and you are merely attempting to spread propaganda to help the Dumont side look better. The vampire doth protest too much, methinks.

From what I've heard, Clan Unity is really old, then it kind of died out and is trying to make its revival now. No biggie to miss, Kat.
