hmm... well she (I) done the hunter route yet it was always for self-punishment. Failing in her (my) eyes in something, yadda yadda.
However this is something completely different to her (me) not sure how to take it. Normally would say, personal view on the matter.... Torpor has always been a self thing, she (I) takes Torpor in her (my) own ways. If it was done as punishment for her own faults and failure then she (I) takes a proper Torpor if its for war or protecting another then she takes a break from it all. So needless to say, either way one doesn't really hear from her (me) for two weeks.
In either case, the question becomes was this hunter done in punishment, to get the last laugh, to prove something or any other reason that can be given? Suppose it's not punishment because they don't seem to be taken it as such, and suppose they didn't prove much because they're taken it as a free shot thanks to the hunter, so perhaps it was for last laugh, but that seemly didn't work very well either. Ah well...
errr... guess rest well or something along those lines.

I think he got what he wanted...
A debate and a little attention....
Am I right?

Well if that's what you think Errah...does it make you feel al warm and fuzzily inside knowing that you have taken part in giving him just that?

There are many ways to look at that situation... One is to see that as cowardice. That was my first reaction. Another is to bow at the creativity of the vampire... That is a first time indeed... Another again is to see it from a purely strategical standpoint, which brings a different light to the move...
What was the probable aim of the attack against Meph? I believe it was to shut his foul mouth through zeroing him. What is Meph liking? I believe bringing more attention to his case against Syph belongs to the list. Through this, he finds himself in a situation where he can a lot better defend himself... He has not been zeroed by the clan, so he somehow deprived them from the kill, yet he also spared them the cost of killinh him, so that's neutral outcome to me. He need not take torpor, since he's not been zeroed by a clan or family, hence he can keep running his mouth. I'd call that a tactical advantage gained. He got attention, and actually amused some vampires. Little advantage again.
On the other hand... He couldn't refrain from being himself and throw a stupid comment about torpor and torporing vampires, but well... wasn't it to be expected? Maybe someday I'll be surprised, but as of today, such comments are no surprises...
Those who got disadvantaged by that move apprear to be those wanting to silence him.
So, in a way, and regardless of what other thought I may have regarding this vampire, I find it rather creative and actually brilliant... Though I certainly would behave differently in such a situation. But then again, it is highly unlikely that I get involved in that kind of situation...

*shrugs* I have no opinion in the matter, actually, Gen. I find Meph's antics amusing.
