It was brought to my attention that there is another place that has a "Cash to In-Game Coins" exchange rate. The going rate, from what I've been told, is $10 for 10,000 coins.

I am now offering something similar here.

As my way of saying "Thank You" for your donation, I am willing to give you coins. Same rate applies though. So if you're new to the game and are donating for powers, you will now, on top of getting the power (or powers) you donated for, get coins from me. These coins should then help you get started in the game.

While I feel this presents a bit of an advantage to some persons who've got that sort of currency lying around, coins are coins. You get what you give, and the people who do have that sort of currency keep the City lights on and running. So I guess we should be grateful to them, but secretly shake our fists behind their back.

That is a common misconception. While neutral, you can't throw weapons, nor can you give out coin. (Unless the other vampire is neutral as well.) You can however, accept coin from someone who is not pink.

As posted here, the "End of August Coin Giveaway" wasn't quite over and done with. I still had one other person to give coins to. Because he was courteous enough to give me a heads up regarding issues with his computer. I was willing to wait until today to give the alotted coins to him.

So, for record keeping purposes...

I appreciate those of you who emailed me, volunteering to hold the coins for "Leprichaun" until he irons out the issues he's having with his computer. However, I cannot do that. I don't want to get dragged into a situation in which would cause a lot of problems later on. So thanks, but no thanks. Besides, I've already taken care of that.

On to the next...

I've gotten a few emails sent to me regarding this post about the coin and donation bit. I need to clarify a few things....

First of all, this isn't permanent. I don't have an endless amount of coins to give out. I am only doing this until the end of September or until the allotted amount of coins run out. Keep in mind I am also doing the end of the month bit here and a few things for LiS members.

Secondly, this doesn't apply to new players only. It is for ANY donation that takes place starting last night until the end of this month. Those who have donated prior to last night's post, to be fair to me, will not get a thing. Like I said, I only have so much to give out.

Third thing I want to say regarding this is... these are *MY* coins. I've worked hard to earn these. Hence, my terms. Emailing me telling me what to do with them, who I should give it out to and how much to give doesn't amount to anything except getting ignored and the email deleted. Complaining about it doesn't help much either.

Let me just say that I am doing this to help out and to express *MY* gratitude. I am not asking for anything in return nor am I expecting anything in return. The way I see it, by donating money, for whatever reasons, be it for power assignment, building ownership, pub rumours, pub name changes, etc., those who donate are helping everyone else in the game. Donation is *NEVER* a requirement to play this game. RavenBlack has it set so that you get to play the game free of charge. You can get all the powers, except for Second-Sight, readily available to you, provided you have the time to quest for it and the coins to pay for it.

Please don't give me grief about all this. I shouldn't have to explain things. Let alone, I don't really *HAVE TO* do all this. But I do it because I want people to enjoy the game. I want them to feel that there are people in the game who are willing to help them out just for the sake of helping out.

The whole coin giveaway thing is just something for people to enjoy. And what of this donation thing? Like I said, it's my way of saying thanks to you who donate this month. How much do people get when they donate? Well, it all depends how much they donate. Here's a few examples:

If a person donated $5.00.
I will give them 5,000 coins.

If a person donated $10.00.
I will give them 10,000 coins.

If a person donated $50.00.
I will give them 50,000 coins.

If a person donated $250.00.
I will give them 250,000 coins.

... and so forth and so on. So, whatever you're donating for, you're getting it *ON TOP* of the coins I am willing to give you, no-strings attached. And look, you don't even have to cheat to get coins and risk getting deleted! Imagine that.

So yeah, and stuff.

For LiS members, a puzzle/poll thing will be posted soon. Participating, replying and answering it correctly, will get you coins. But that'll be later. I need rest now.
