Well, aint this a twister. I am being forced to choose between my new wife, and a good friend's wife. What ever will I choose? Gevurah: I have a ... proposition, if you will. And this, ofcourse, will involve you and you alone. I am going to necro up to around 4k in blood. And at that time, I will ask that all the attacks on Mona are stopped, for one thing. One thing only. A duel. I will duel you until myself, or you, hit zero. Which, if I lose, Mona will have no choice but to enter torpor as well. Either way, you get what you want, just you and I have a little fun of our own. -But-, if by some freakish chance that I win, all of the attacks on Mona stop. Think about it. Just one duel. I may be honorless and a low life, but I do enjoy a good fight. And from the looks of it, you do as well. I mean no disrespect in this offer, nor do I want any ill feelings held afterwards. But you only have to shave 4k or less off of me before you can continue the attacks... Come on... You can do it.

Daly, no ill words meant, but Gevurah isn't in charge of who all is hitting. You can't possibly expect everyone who struck Mona to stop just because you and him are dueling can you?

The answer is no.
Daly, you aren't being forced to chose jack shit, just stay out of it where you belong. She had her chance, she dueled him, she broke the agreement made. Case Closed.

*bows* I understand your wish to not make it easy for some of those involved. Yet, a promise is not being held, and that is not allowing him to get back to what he should never have stopped being. To me, were he to not purge himself of his old blood and torpor, this shall ever be a taint on his honour.
I accept that an agreement that was reached to not speak about the whole thing have been broken by Raven, yet the way I see it, honour commands that he still go down the path he promised to tread upon. Were he to do that, he would prove both that he is honourable and that his attackers were not. I would like to see the wise and honourable Gevurah of old rise anew from his torpor.
I do not condone, but I understand the behaviour of Raven and Errah, even though it clearly is not the way I would have handled such business. To put old grievances (be them justified or not for others, they are to them) they need to have him zeroed, and feel justified, since it was agreed it would be the fate of the one losing the duel. Since they feel owed that, they use whatever it takes to get to their goal, even if they have to step on other's toes so hard it causes them to attack them back, with justification.
I don't see how this piece of drama could be over if Gevurah were not to end up zeroed, since Raven's side will claim for eternity that the original agreement has not been respected, that bone gnawed ad nauseam for the whole city. Okay, LadyPeacek, you and your side can zero her side for a long time, then what? When you're done zeroing them in one year, they'll still be gnawing that bone, and we all will be sorry and wincing at the way all these fine vampires are showing what asses they can be when it comes to pricky pride. I already am.

In the same respect Black...they agreed on their half that if the agreement was not held, this would end with their own death. This is was set before them and I heard no complaints from them at that point. I care very little to hear the complaints of it now.
For any contract or agreement I have seen, once it has been severed or broken by one party the entire thing becomes null and void. This is quite common practice, having little to do with honor. If someone sells you a car under the impression it is brand new, and it falls apart in a week filled with old rusty parts, do you continue to pay for it to keep your honor?
You feel his blood is tainted because Mona says it is or because she decided taking it wasn't nearly the priority running her mouth was? She made the choice several months ago to let her issues go. She changed her mind. Then, she changed the reason. Now, after the duel, after her breaking the agreement, she has yet AGAIN changed the reason. This was never about a grudge. This was always about her pride. Gev was an easy kill, to make her name. She herself told me she could not back down once we told her he was not so easy because she did not want to look scared. She told several she wasnt even all that interested in his death once she won the duel and proved her point, whatever that was, but again her pride would not allow her to follow through.
Gev agreed to duel. Gev agreed to forfeit his blood to her grudge over an issue from long past. An issue just nights ago Mona told starr was not even the correct reason, but hopped back to it being about Meph and some other things which she has yet to come out with. She told me holding on was about her pride and not looking a coward.
Frankly, how anyone would expect him to honor an agreement that was filled with lies and inconsistencies so much so that he can't even be sure what he is losing his blood for, makes no sense to me.

Daly, my love,
I'm actually very proud that you would attempt to step up like this, but I am making you choose nothing at all. I would prefer it, if your heart is involved in friendship on either side, that you stand down and do nothing. Or, if you must, choose her. I would never ask that you attack for me or my family or my clan. This score will be settled soon enough.
However, I would prefer not having my family croak as well. So please dear, stand down. When it's over, if you still want to Duel Gev, I'm sure something will be arranged.

Dragonet, I can understand how you feel his blood may be tainted. And how the Gevurah of old may arise from the state of torpor. I view this as a purging for him, a reawakening if you will. He has made mistakes, and moved away from the honor he once held, but the core person that made Gevurah who and what he was is still there. I feel it was not his blood that was tainted, but rather his mental state was set askew. If his blood were tainted, mine would be as well. His blood still courses through my veins, as does Mooncalf's, but Starr's is the most prevalent. They are both my former sires, and Starr is my current. Does my blood dictate who I am as a person? I say we dictate who we are and our blood has no true bearing on it if we don't wish it to. We are creatures of intellect and are easily able to rise above mere blood influence if we so choose.

Not entirely sure I can stand down, now... You do know how I hate being told what to do in such a ..what was the word used against me in the past.. venomous way? Who knows. Ladypeacek, you are not my leader, nor are you my grandsire. Don't speak to me as if I should listen to your orders, suggestions, whatever you have to say. The point behind the entire challenge, that you failed to understand as well, is that anyone can make a challenge, anyone can break the rules. This is all he said, she said, or she said she said, I don't know, drama. It will change nothing, it will do nothing. You're perfectly fine with wasting your weapons on her for what reason? And this isn't addressed to you, Pulse. If I could say what I wanted to say to you right now, I'd be in the hole of 200k, that, by the way, I got all on my own! When my statements include you, old friend, I will be sure to let you know. If this all started with Gevurah and Mona, why is Gev not the one in charge of the hitting to begin with? Sounds to me like there was some help brought in after the duel was already won by the opposing side? Last I checked, the ones involved were the ones in charge. Why is someone else in control? Either way. I'm bored and I need something to do. Seeing as insulting is out of the question, as is starting a bucket load of drama, I figured I'd have some fun anyway.

See, that whole comment is just the point. You have no idea what, who or why about any of this. Just randomly chosing your side to be in the middle of something. That much is clear. Go ahead and enjoy yourself. Youre right, I cant stop you. *shrugs* No duel though, atleast not from Ferrymen.

I know what to expect from challenging a Ferrymen to a duel. Rykoth won't even come out to play with me anymore. Saddens me, really. But this isn't about a duel. I've done my research, so maybe, the leader of the clan who's involved, won't point any fingers or state any names, doesn't know what's going on, either? Thanks for the suggestions and whatever. Have a good one, be speaking soon.

black_dragonet, I do believe this is the first time I've ever disagreed with you, but I am afraid that I must: to my eyes you confuse honour with pedantry.
You are right that Gevurah owed Raven a debt of blood. You are also perfectly right that a blood debt can only be satisified with blood and blood alone. So please explain to me where Raven earned the right to take his dignity as well? Blood is easily replaced - dignity is not. In grasping greedily for far more than she was entitled to, she forfeits her original claim. If I come around your house to buy a car but take your child instead, would you still be willing to sell me the car when the child is returned? Of course not. As Raven has not shut up, the child is not returned and yet you still expect us to sell her the car?
Perhaps the immortal words of the bard will put this matter to rest:
Tarry a little; there is something else. This bond doth give thee here no jot of blood; The words expressly are 'a pound of flesh:' Take then thy bond, take thou thy pound of flesh; But, in the cutting it, if thou dost shed One drop of Christian blood, thy lands and goods Are, by the laws of Venice, confiscate Unto the state of Venice.

Well stated Ravana. The bard of Stratford Upon Avon would have been proud...I should know. He was a dear friend in the days of Yore.

Ravana, well, I have no child I have found wisdom in Bug's words, and I have been told enough to really understand why what is happening now is happening. Those doing it have good reason for doing what they do. I do not confuse honour with pedantry, it's just that I avoid having any dealings with dishonourable people, and do not really know how to handle such situations where my word would be given, and the other's part of the bargain would not be held. In such a situation, I'd just stick to my word, out of a better way to get out of this situation, and to make a point by this. I know this is what a twisted mind like mine would think and do, but I am not sure this be the best way to handle this, just mine *shrugs* I hope Gevurah comes back to his old self and all the drama ends... Actually, I am now tired of this story, as I am tired of running after some cowards who just stay in shadows the whole day and get out of their hideyhole just to piss off people and hit those who're still, only to run back into shadows. *waves at the Syphs* Grown tired of seeing what should have remained a private duel over something and end up quietly between two responsible, sensible and tactful vampires become what it has now become... I just think I should stop caring about this all matter and drop it, yet there are so many lies and hidden truth there that I can't stand letting go of it. Okay, so a few month ago, some wicked illness took Gevurah's mind, wisdom and respectability and caused him to act like he never had and hever should have, in the process hurting some people. When he recovered at least part of his sanity, he was challenged to a duel, and he was insane enough to accept it, for he was himself enough to consider that he had hurt that person indeed. Agreement was reached that after the duel ended, both would just lock their mouthes and the loser would let himself be zeroed. It was a debt of blood indeed. There is no reason why Gevurah would be deprived of his dignity. An attempt at robbing him from his dignity should be answered in kind by depriving the depriving side of their dignity. The blood debt still remains. Now if someone I owed a car to a man who were to come to my home and take my wife, I'd go at him and do whatever it takes to get her back. Getting her back wouldn't mean I am cleared of my debt, but I'd not mind shooting him a bullet in both kneecaps before I let him the car, which I would still do. I don't care if he can't drive it. I did my part of the bargain. In this case, I think I'd have Gev go to zero, and then exert my vengeance upon her and all those related to her, since she had the kindness and carelessness to involve them in this matter. Again, I am aware that this is not what you have to do, merely an explanation of hiw I feel with regard to that. Bug and Ravana, know that I see the wisdom and logic in your words, but my twisted and excessive (pedantic?) view on honour makes me see things thus. *bows* please excuse me for this long-winded monologue.

In all honesty this is becoming a three ring circus. Was I as mouthy as all this when Pulse was getting knocked around the city? If so some one should have gagged me.
I love Gev dearly and while was not part of the issue I know that people were hurt and mistakes were made. Stealing a man's dignity and in turn sacrificing your own does not repair the ill done. Heavens, I have more respect for a vampire who can turn around and go ' opps I messed up' appologize to those that were harmed and truly mend the error rather than screaming about how they were wronged, hurt, and now want a holy war. Then after getting what they want on mutally accepted terms (as I do believe they were) holding story time and a running documentry.
This is turning into the Clinton/Lewinsky scandal here and the cigar has yet to come into play. All I can think to say on this matter is let it fade to shadows, let the one seeking attention desperately continue to abase their own dignity while others try to refind and collect theirs.
As a wife who stood with a husband when suffering something similar I appriciated it when both media and close family let the slander be ignored and officals sorted it out. I do not speak without my own perspectives of course.

Due to myself breaking the agreement between Gevurah and myself, I am going to take full responsability for my actions, and I'm going to come right out and apologize to the ones involved. I wish peace to be brought on both sides, and I just wish to walk away and put this all behind me. From this moment forward, any grudges between he and myself are over on my end, as well as the grudges between the Merovinigians, Wilde's, and Ferrymen. Again, I apologize, and this is the last you'll hear from myself and my wife on this subject.
