Your attitude isn't exactly flattering you either, and perhaps -you- should be the bigger person and handle it better also.

I do understand that I am inexperienced. Like I said, there wasn't anyone else -to- do anything. I stepped up and put things where they are now. I couldn't stand to see the place I call home dwindle to nothing. My attitude only comes from those that mean nothing but the worst for my good intentions. I do not expect that much will come from this. It's basically a stab in the dark.

Good Luck, Trig
Perhaps the new blood will open fresh ideas, just do not be surprised when your determination is tested. Each experience will only bring you closer to what you wish to achieve. Both you and Lestat are correct. The clan was dying. I hope you bring a burning desire to succeed with you, and I do hope that it pans out.
Leaders are not born. They are made. They learn from everything around them.. even criticism. Heed it well, and learn from it, so you are not caught unawares.

Good luck, son, I'm proud of you. Your determination and the hard work I know you've been putting in are attributes that a lot of vampires in this City no longer have.
As DE said, take in everything around you, absorb it, and learn from it. Whether it be positive or negative.
I love you.

Trig, I wish you the best. Give Mur my love and tell her to keep those "brothers" in check.

Tifereth, Everyone starts somewhere. It matters not that I don't have 8.5k of blood, I never mentioned anything about going to war. I said we'd defend our members. So dear Tifererth do mind your own business if you please. Let people judge for themselves. ...Okay, so maybe you didn't understand my point. With all due respect, Trig, I wasn't saying that you are going to war. But you can't be considered a responsible Clan Leader if you aren't prepared for it. Unless you suddenly decide for the Clan to go Neutral; I'm afraid my statment remains: you are not prepared, nor you are making your Clan look believable with your current attitude; nor you are helping with calling Lestat 'garbage'. Name calling is incredibly unbecoming. If you post something like this in a public Forum, it is my business, and I am making my sincerest thoughts on the subject, known. Wether you approve of them or not. Tif.....With all due respect....I've caught glimpse with your name-calling activities as well on public boards and the ghettos.....Even directly to my Sire before. However, maybe you've toned it down? Anywho....Staying on topic. Trig......Never met you personally, but I highly respect your Sire. And I respect your ambitions to make something out of the opportunity you've been given. Best pieces of advice from my nights in Leadership. * You will never appease everyone, whether they're part of your Clan or not. Accept that fact, and you'll be just fine. * Stick to what you feel is right, and roll with it. Be true to yourself and to those other two fine-looking leader lady types of yours! * Do as you say. Say as you do. * Work hard. Every night. Coins and connections. Two biggest assets in this City. Good luck to you guys and gals. I honestly enjoy seeing the competition out there growing stronger to make things interesting. *grins*

Hmm.
When the crew and I founded RoR, I was one year, two months old. I had about 3.5K in blood and the only leadership experience was being second in command for 10 months in a clan where I wasn't allowed to actually lead anything even with the title. Yet....look at RoR when I left it and look at it now. nitenurse had never led a clan before when I handed it over to her and *shock* it's even bigger now. Damn leadership experience...
Does Trig have an uphill battle? Of course he does. But at least he has the balls to stand up and try, rather than making excuses and trotting off into the sunset. Those who have decided to point fingers should probably consider taking a bit of time looking at themselves, because it's not like they've done anything of note yet either.
Trig, if you want some advice from someone who has been in a similar situation, feel free to look me up. Good luck to you and yours.

To Lestat and Tifereth:
I must say you spend an awful lot of your time bad mouthing a clan you have no attachments to. The business of our clan has nothing to do with you, so why do you feel the need to bad mouth its members? Have we threatened you in some way, or mistreated you? I should say we haven't to my acknowledgment. But, if you have a formal complaint, please feel free to take it up with me privately and it will be dealt with swiftly, I assure you.
As for my candidacy and experience, Lestat, how can you claim anything about an individual you haven't taken the time to know ? It is true that this is my first clan in the vampire world, but your assumption about my leadership skills is based purely on spite. I assure you my resume is extremely long and well established. Now run along and say your childish words to someone who cares.
As for the majority of you who have responded in a polite tongue:
Thank you for your words of encouragement. Some of you might be aware that our previous clan leader, Murrz, has left us to experience different worlds beyond that of Ravenblack. In my eyes, he was a wonderful clan leader and I think I can safely speak for the Scions as a whole when I say he and his wife Ashley will be sorely missed. Murrz left Trig, Mur and I with large shoes to fill and I think my counter parts are doing a wonderful job of pulling everything together.
It is true that membership isn't where we'd like it to be currently, but I'm sure most of you are aware of the difficulties in establishing trust when such a large change has occurred. It is my sincere hope that the majority of you will give us a chance to shine again and prove that we can resurrect ourselves from the ashes as we have done in the past and live on as our grand name suggests.

<snip>It is my sincere hope that the majority of you will give us a chance to shine again <snip> Damn the chances anyone else "gives" to you. We all make our own destiny. Congratulations, and I will be looking forward to watching you grow. If you want pointers, there are many who are willing to help with advice. And don't think for a second you will be viewed as weak or incompetent for asking. It actually shows a willingness to want to do right by your clan, by seeking information you are perhaps lacking. Even if you are being given advice you are already implementing, it never hurts to have your decisions bolstered by those with greater experience. I myself have sought advice, or have been given through normal conversations, from many different sources. Brutus, LadyP, Seyda, Gev, Starr, nitenurse, Nghthawk, Meph and some others have all given me little tidbits. I have drawn from a wide variety of people, and social groupings, and all have given me different perspectives on leadership. The one commonality all of these people have is their true caring for those they lead, or have lead. Good luck and remember, none can keep you down as long as you are true to you.

Well ... I many people have stepped in wished The Clan luck. Thank you. All Clans no matter size or resources can always use it. yes recently a few members left, for reasons more important and beyond the borders of this city. Lets face it, Trig has done more to get things going in the last few days then some past leaders did in months. Will it work, hope so, it should, and in time it will.

Good luck to you... Seems that the phoenix will once away rise from its ashes. Many experienced and wise leaders have offered to help you, so listen to them, their help is invaluable. If you want to learn of to become a crappy leader and look like chicken shit to all that look at you, I suggest you go meet Ravynne Nitewind. Of course, you'll have to go find her in shadows, since she's at war and she's a courageous leader. Her advice is good too, for you to know what you should avoid doing at all costs.
