Damari organised the workers that first came to knock down the wall heading into the side office used rarely by staff and never by herself. It served two purposes, well, maybe three, one obviously to extend the space in which to grow her cafe but also to create an alcove of perceived privacy to the left of the entrance. The third, weirdly was to erase the memory of ophelia trying to have sex in that particular room. Sometimes, some things just needed to be erased. That, for Damari, was one of them.
Upon entering Cafe Damari the same ambiance of subdued elegance reigned, Damari ensured that much, but off to the side, behind a waist high dividing wall she, with some input from The Bite's staff, had put discretely placed screens. It was a central citrix style server and that was about as much as Damari could even hope to understand how they all worked. As far as she knew when you sat down, the things were operational and as far as she was concerned, that's all she needed to know.
Coquette and Andre had agreed to take turns overseeing this branch of their online news organisation and all Damari had to do was sell coffee to whatever patrons came to sit at the place to read the online newsboard. Well, not Damari specifically. More her staff.
There were papers as well. Lined up at the front of the cafe for those patrons of a more purist bent. It was all going quite nicely. She was feeling so magnanimous that she'd even let Coquette and Andre put up a discrete sign saying what the place was and what patrons were reading except....
Frowning Damari glares at the little sign hanging on the other side of the privacy wall and flicking it with her finger she picks up her phone and calls Coquette, her voice sharp as she left a message on the other female's machine.
"The upgrades went well and the server is up and running without much trouble. One problem though, just a teensy one mind you. But would you kindly SPELL THE NAME OF MY CAFE CORRECTLY! It's CAFE DAMARI... not Damari's Cafe. Other than that. I think we're ready to fling the doors open on our new venture. Ohhhh and can you get me that signed agreement, with both yours and Andre's signatures please. Thanks."
Nodding she spins on her heels once, slowly closes her cell phone and smiles a small smile. Picking up the sign she throws it in the direction of her blue haired staff member.
"Get rid of that please Ava."

As the sun fell and night dawned upon the city, dark eyes flecked with blue peered up at the shadowed ceiling. The room was filled with shadows that watched the occupant, staring back silently though they always observed everything that happened. A yawn came from a pair of pale lips before the form sat up and ran a hand through her hair. “Evening already? Guess it’s time to get up and around.”
Shuffling out of bed, Ember walked over to her desk and logged in to her computer to check her online subscription to the Bite. As she browsed her daily favorites, then through the site, she came upon the article that a certain Café Damari had opened up its doors to host an online corner dedicated to the newspaper. On top of that, it provided regular printed newspapers and coffee to those who chose to sample the delight.
As she wasn’t too much of a socialite vampire, keeping to the quiet which she knew best, Ember’s interest in this new place peaked. Perhaps this, too, could be an outlet to meet others whom she didn’t really know, but was always reading about. Nodding her head in affirmation, she decided that she would visit this café and see what it was all about.
Logging off from her online subscription, Ember spun in her seat to face her closet, looking through the open door at the clothes that were neatly pressed and hung up. She got up from her seat and sifted through them, looking for something casual to wear, simplicity in her mind. A hand stopped upon a simple, white dress and pulled it from the hanger; it was later paired with a pair of nude hose and soft, non-heeled, white boots.
As she got ready to leave the house, she penned a note for her childer and left it in plain sight. It read: “Loveless, Silence, I am heading out a bit early tonight to check out this new café in the city. The location is on the online version of the Bite, should you choose to join me later. Love you both.”
It wasn’t too far of a trek to the cafe, and Ember found the walk rather refreshing. How long had it been since she had just taken a simple walk to go anywhere? Awhile. Of that she could be certain. She nearly passed the place, looking up just as she reached the flattering sign that flashed OPEN. With a smile, she reached out and took an old-style, printed newspaper into her hands and then proceeded inside.
The café didn’t seem too small, but then again, it wasn’t completely huge either. It had a very calm atmosphere, music playing, the smell of coffee brewing in the background; she couldn’t say that she wasn’t enjoying it already. The menu sitting behind the waiter’s head had some interesting choices, and though she was new to drinking this ‘coffee’ stuff, it couldn’t hurt to try it. Stepping up to the counter, Ember placed an order for a brevis Chai Latte. When asked how she wanted it, she had to look up at the menu before deciding regular would probably be the best choice when trying something new; perhaps others in the café could recommend a good drink to her sometime.
Order placed, she found an empty, two person table and took a seat. She pulled the newspaper open and began avidly reading where she had left off on her online subscription.

He lay in a desolate room, merely no furniture except the bed, a coffee-table and a few ancient looking chests. The young 'pyre fluttered his eyes open, glaring up at the black painted ceiling, "Another day...another goal." he groaned, grunting softly as the past night's ideas ran through his mind. Unsure of happiness and anger, or any other emotion he canted his head to the side and peered at the door.
Loveless crept out of his black silken sheets, placing his feet over the bed. Swiftly shaking his hand over his short white locks his mouth widened into a gaped sight, white fangs extending out as he emitted a rather large yawn. His haze gray eyes slowly raised, half lidded, toward the clock on his large white oak coffee desk. The fairly porcelain skinned 'pyre stood from his bed, exhaled a soft huff of annoyance. "Oh, what time is this...to trade the hand-shake for the fist." he muttered to himself about the day that pasted.
Tilting his head side to side he narrowed his eyes, kneeling down to the floor in front of a massive white-oak chest. His slender hands raising to the lock then pressed his thumbs onto the latches, unlocking the chest. For some time he rummaged and threw distasteful clothing into the floor, until he found a over-sized pair of Tripp pants, black with purple trimmings/stitches. He stood putting the pants on over his bony hips, tugging his boxers a bit for a moment.
Then, with a kick of his staff that had settled in the corner, a rake of belts fall over. With a quick jump he grabs up on of the many belts. The belt he had choose was of black leather and purple Swede trimmings, with it in hand he looped it through the large pants, then tightened it about his bony waist while he jumped around.
With another dismissive sigh, he glares to his clock as the alarm blare out. Loveless then proceeds to kick it off in the floor, grabs a plain black button-up shirt from another rack. Running down the spiral steps he walks past the fridge, and straight to the already brewed coffee machine. With a childish grin he grabs for the pot, but, stops peering at a note, "Hrm?" he expressed picking it up and reading what his mother left, ". . .Oh, cool. Coffee!!" he 'silently' yelled out with excitement.
The man's obsession for coffee was very, very, odd. With a coo, he puts his arms through the buttoned up shirt and fixes the collar, trailing toward the door he grabbed up a huge pouch, with a harness on it from yet, another rack from the house. Strapping it on, letting it bounce from his movement as he walked out the door.
Loveless walked for a while, taking the alleys and dark-corners a parent warns there children about. Passing the Cafe, he pauses, then leans back looking at the sign, then snickers. Turning on a heel, he grips the door and walks on in.
Pressing his lips to the side, as he peers up and down, left and right. Inhaling heavily then exhaling, "Aaah, Coffeee." he said relaxingly, how he coveted ever single detail of the liquid. Lofting about with a crooked-grin, he then eyes his mother behind a newspaper. Prancing over he leans in at her face and giggles, " 'Allo Mummy."

Vulture quietly walked into Cafe Damari, adjusting her wireframed sunglasses lightly, as the lighting in the building was messing with her eyes a tad. Sighing softly, she gave a gentle bow to Damari, seeing it a bit polite. Turning her head a bit, she gazed at the cafe, smiling softly. " This place seems rather neat.." she whispered softly to herself, turning to see Loveless with his mother. She gave them both a gentle wave, then turned back to look at the menu. She tapped her index finger against her reddened lips, her eyes travelling along as she read. " Hmm.." she whispered softly. With a wave of her hand, she gently asked the taller, blue haired woman what she would recommend to partake in, as she was here for the first time. As she observed the woman seeming to ignore her, seeming rather busy with the others, she smiled, not wanting to disturb her work, so she picked up a copy of The Bite and walked over to the counter, standing on her toes to reach it, placing the paper atop. " Hello.." she whispered softly, " I would like to buy this newspaper...and an Espresso ..Cappuccino Ristretto please." Vulture smiled softly as she padded her jacket pockets, then pulled a thin leather wallet from her right pocket, opening it to pull out a black credit card, handing it to the man. After signing off on the reciept, she slid the credit card back into her wallet and pocketed it, folding the newspaper under her right arm, gently holding the drink. She thanked the man kindly, then walked over to join Loveless and Ember, smiling. Sipping her cappuccino gently, she greeted the son and mother quietly with a gentle bow, returning to sipping her drink.

Ember sat quietly at her table, reading the paper form of the Bite. It wasn't something she did often, the same with coming out to a cafe, but it was a nice change in her otherwise normal routine of life.
When Kemp put her drink out, yelling out an order up for one brevis Chai Latte, she folded her newspaper and left it on her chair; it reassured her that no one would take her spot while she paid for her drink. Pulling coin from her pocket, she paid for the latte and the paper, gave a nod of her head as thanks, and then returned to her seat.
As Ember sat back down, something caught her eye on the outside of the cafe. She could have sworn that someone looking just like her son, Loveless, had just passed the shop. A quick double take was done, and when she didn't see him, she shrugged it off as just having been her imagination wanting to see something that wasn't there.
Once again, the paper was opened and reading resumed, that is, until her son did peek his head over the paper and surprise her. She smiled and placed her paper down before standing and greeting her childe with a hug. His 7'4" frame dwarfed her short stature of only 5'3", and she was sure it must have looked odd to other people in the cafe, especially humans. She was sure she could hear whispers. Morning greetings exchanged, she sat down and offered him the seat across from her with a smile. "Join me, dearling, but first go get yourself some coffee."
Just when she thought the day couldn't get any better, another familiar face walked through the door. Ember's friend, Vulture, whom she had affectionately nicknamed Bird, waved to both her and her son in greeting. She waved back, watching as the other woman deciphered the menu, then joined them once her drink was ready. "Why don't you pull up a chair and join us, Bird? Loveless and I would be quite pleased to have you at the table."

Grinned widely to his sire's expression of surprise. She was much more then a loving and caring sire to him, she was his Mother. The only woman in his life he's ever had be there for him other then his younger sister Tessa. Difference much.
Leaning down a bit to wrap his long, slender arms about his mother's small body, he pecks her cheek with his soft glossed lips then released her and nodded. His ears twitched softly, a odd habit he had when ever he heard any type of whispering around him. It bothered him some but, he just shook it off.
Loveless then straightened his posture properly and bowed deeply to his sire; then pressed on a heel twirling around and walked over to the Cafe Booth, peering up at the menu, eying the blue haired lass first, grinning slightly. He began to whistle out a fast pace song then circled his nail onto the counter top, looking to the casher of sorts, "Mmm Kemp is it? May I get a, uh," he scrunches his nose looking at the fancy sign, "Magni Soy Long Black " he asked, watching the two people walk around taking there time, then grinned taking the cup.
Reaching into his back pocket he pulled out some change and wrinkled up dollars, placing it on the counter, mutter "Keep the change." as he walked away sipping the coffee already as he made his way back over to his mother, he chuckled softly waving to Vulture, "Hey, hey!" he greeted her. Gnawing onto the Styrofoam cup, he drags a chair he passed across the floor sliding it up to the table where the women sat, turning it backs-ward and straddling the back metal bars of the kitchen-like chair.
Smiling to Vulture he raised his brew up to the woman, "Fancy seeing you here, lass." he spoke, his thick Irish accent ringing out along his lib-re pierced lips. The towering man leaned over to peck his mother's cheek, muttering, "They sure are serious people here." he chuckled nodding his head toward the blue-haired woman.

Vulture smiled to both Ember and Loveless, taking a seat at the table. " I needed to get out of the house for a bit. It's rather quiet, living alone." she whispered softly, sipping her drink. " It's also a bit lonely after a while..." Sighing, she glanced at the papers, scrunching her nose as she read through the severances and obituaries. " So, how are you two doing this evening?" she asked, peering over her paper at the family, a soft smile forming on her pale lips.
Within moments, Vulture raised her hand to get Ava's attention, politely asking her if she could get her another, handing her the empty cup. Giving the woman her credit card again, she smiled, then hummed lightly. " I rather like this place, now that it's here.." she stated, " It gives us somewhere to relax and enjoy company, away from all the bickering and sore tempers." Her nose scrunched as she stated her opinion.
Smiling, Vulture signed the receipt as Ava returned with it, the woman setting the credit card and drink in front of her. Vulture thanked her kindly, giving her the slip, before taking a sip of her drink and pocketing the credit card. She ran her fingers through her hair, then sighed softly, whispering under her breath until she sipped from her drink again.
