This is where you find the links to game downloads as they come out!
Please do not post here off-topic, there are other threads for that.
First Version:
RavenBlack Duels version 0.5 beta.
Link (about 100 MB)
Once downloaded, unzip using winrar (or another unzipping prog which supports .rar zips), and go into the folder, where you'll see Duels.exe. Double click that icon and the game will start.
To get the game into full screen mode I believe you just hold down alt and press enter.
Some notes:
* The title screen is temporary. The first person to tell me how bad it looks gets a "duh!" button.
* The models used were all made by other people, or ripped from video games. I have tweeked some of them.
* There are going to be many bugs in the game. It's a beta. Expect the music not to work one time, and for it to work the next, etc.
* I think it's possible to use a control pad, but you might need to edit some ini file somewhere to tell the game which buttons you want to do which. I'll test this more later.
* Lameth, I dunno how, but I found a 2D Dante, but he's a beta version, so he is very buggy. He disapears in some frames and his sword does odd things in other frames. However, he is most awesome, because he can switch between sword and martial styles.
* I've only had time to add 10 characters so far. These characters are Edan, Rodargo (sp?), The David, RavenBlack, Coquette, Pandemona, Charish, Capadocious, Lameth and Mooncalf. Each character has his or her own stage, which each have theme tunes, and there are a few additional stages which you can select in VS or spectator modes.
*The stamina of each character is based on their blood in game. The attack power of each character is based on a number of factors, including powers, bloodline connections, and reputed battle experience. The defense power of each character is based entirely on age (working with the Anne Rice premise of a vampire becoming tougher as they get older).
* Please don't be shy to ask for things changed. I actually enjoy doing this, so if you want your character changed entirely, just say so.
* This is entirely open source. If you want to add to this, it would not only be welcome, it would also be apreciated. But if you're going to add to it, contact me so we don't make two sepperate versions, unless that's what you want.
Let me know if you get any problems.
