Alright, so I'm on an organization kick at the moment, and I wanted to hear your suggestions on how I can make things on Bite a little bit easier to navigate. I think it's pretty okay right now, but as you can see from the Advertisements section I went in and maneuvered things in such a way that they were all sorted into their own little sections-- like a newspaper would be.
My other idea was to do the same with the Severances section and sort it into "Partner Severances" and "Sire-childe Severances", again making things a bit easier to find and navigate.
I know some people have complaints about the organization in individual THREADS which, I'm sorry. I cannot go through and organize those. If you feel a thread is too long, or has too many off-topic posts, then I have to apologize because I cannot fix that at this time. I want to work on the main organization first before I go into the more difficult work.
So beyond organization IN threads, I'm talking sectional organization.
What sections/categories would you maybe like to see added? How do you think we can improve the organizations of the sections/categories that we already have, and others? Since we've hit 700+ members, I'm thinking it's time to once again go through and do a little bit of maintenance because we have more people creating threads than ever and some things are getting put in the wrong places because we're not addressing certain categories of topics.
Put your suggestions here, please.

I kinda like your idea, on splitting partner severences from childe..yadda yadda. It's all fine, I think, besides that.

Or I can just remove your ability to reply? <.< Kidding, I wouldn't. But seriously, for now I'm looking at categorical organization suggestions.

Please do move the reply option. Or, make it so that there are seperate parts. One for people to comment, and one for news/other stuff. Basically, stop cluttering the threads. Oh yea, and I like the splitting stuff idea.

Josh, like I told Alex, this is not about the organization of the threads. Going through and organizing the threads like that takes a mammoth amount of work and as I've said THREE TIMES NOW this thread is not about that.
If you want to bitch about that, do it somewhere else and to someone who doesn't already spend 6 hours a day trying to make this better. This is NOT about the organization of threads, this is about how you want me to better organize the sections so that you can FIND threads based on what they are and so things stop getting posted in the wrong sections. I'll repeat again so you guys might be able to get it.
NOT FOR: BITCHING ABOUT OFF TOPIC POSTS OR CLUTTERING OF THREADS OR REPLYING TO THREADS Or the fact that this forum is run like tons of others that you don't complain about.
FOR: SECTIONS YOU WANT ADDED SUBSECTIONS YOU WANT ADDED SUGGESTIONS ON SECTIONAL CATEGORIZATION
Also known as.. NOT THREADS.

Well could you please stop your bitching and taking your problems out on me? I personally don't GIVE A SHIT, but I already said I like the idea of splitting severances, even if the VNN is already using it.

Oh yea, and I like the splitting stuff idea. Separate. There's A RAT runnin' around in sepARATe. It's not difficult. I like the severances thing: I've been secretly vying for it for a while, as I never know who's partners and who's childer and whatnot.

Okay, after giving it some serious thought, you could probably do away with the "Letters to the Editor" section. Reasons: 1. If someone really wants to write a letter to Coq or Louvain, they'll likely do a PM. 2. If they want to make it public, Ramble or Freelance would be a perfectly acceptable place to do it. Just a thought, don't really care either way.

Wow, that was cool...
*wonders what else she can make happen*
Oh, wait... why is there a clan listing thing and a clan advert thing? Wouldn't those be one in the same?
Also, (and I'm sorry if this seems like suggesting something thread-wise,) I think it'd be nice to see an unbiased listing of clans that just listed a little about each clan and their contacts, perhaps stickied at the top of the clan area? Just a thought.
I assisted Gittel in getting one ready for RBRP, I bet if you asked nicely, she might be willing to share it here.
