To that, I must disagree. No being owns me, no matter how powerful they may be. If he see fits to remove me from this city for this, then so be it. However, I have never met the man, and until I do so, my view of him will be apathetic. Should I ever meet him, and should he earn my respect if that moment comes, then yes, I may acknowledge him further, perhaps even bow down to him. Until then, I am my own being. And I seriously doubt the big man gives a flying fuck about what I say or do. I think you undervalue what is considered constructive or not. And my apologies if I came across as sounding insulting, but even when I reread it, I don't see it. When I say "he owns your ass," that is to say that should he deem it worthy, he could lay you in the ground if he so chooses and that doesn't just go for you, but me and everyone else who dwells in his city. He has that kind of control. Perhaps the simplistic nature of my initial comment was too crude, but I was attempting to keep it short and sweet.

So, not a god... but how does one hurt the man, then?

The vampire Ravenblack? Just as any other vampire in this city with the power of neutrality - convince him to drop his three levels.

Ah, but how? The moment he does, he knows he'll be targeted.

That's assuming he would. I don't think he will.

The entire City could wait for him to move out of shadows to bite him, but I doubt he ever would...
And while Lord RavenBlack has God-like abilities, I believe those that refer to him as a God or Lord these eves do it more out of respect.

That would have to be 500023 vampires with suction in order to zero him with bites.
>.> <.<
That is a lot of biting.
Edit: For one too many 0's.

A little history from Nov 6, 2004:
~EvilBill approaches, a dark crowd follows behind him as he steps forward, a gleam flickers in his eyes and his face is set with the stone of resolve. Slowly, he stops in the middle of the street, the myriad of church members are behind him, solemn and quiet, with hoods drawn over their heads as they take a place and stand behind the Reverend. A pale hand reaches out of his robe and clutches to a scroll as he slowly opens it and begins to read.
"Citizens of RavenBlack City, I come to you with news! This very day, the war on RavenBlack has come to an end, and the Church of Blood claims their rightful victory. When we began our attacks on RavenBlack, he had nearly 240K of BP's...and this morning, he had just a little over 5K left in his body."
~After a moment to scan the confused looks on the faces of the crowd, he looked at the scroll again and continued.
"This morning, RavenBlack sought out the Peace Keepers Mission and there, he studied and learned the ways of being a neutral vampire. Yes, he has now brought himself up to the platform that other great vampires have perched upon such as Mooncalf and Beljeferon. He hides behind his pink shield of fear, and he proves that he cares more of himself then he does for any of you."
~Noises in the crowd fall and murmers are heard as many ask each other if it could possible be true that the great RavenBlack himself had truly become neutral.
"Many of you fought for him, you stood up for him, you did what you felt in your hearts and minds was the right thing...and he left you. He ducked behind the neutrality shield to save his own hide and carelessly threw you to the wind to fend for yourselves. Yes, I am sure you are quite disappointed in him. Afterall, what sort of God or Vampire hides behind protection when faced with challenge? I will tell you what kind...RavenBlack."
~The members of the Church slowly removed their hoods, to reveal smiles and energy renewed. Casting out the doubts they were disappointed, or angry, and showing to the city how very proud they were for what they had accomplished and once again, none of them had fallen in the battle.
"I urge you, each of you, to reflect upon what has been, and what is to come. Many opposed us during our war with RavenBlack and your names are not forgotten. We are delighted that this is behind us now..and that we may focus now on unfinished business. When you see one of us approach, or walking through the city, know that you are looking into the face of death, and the body of the vampire you see is one of the most brave, fierce, loyal, and efficient killing machine that has ever walked through the city. Without the members of the Church, I am nothing. With them, we are unstoppable."
~EvilBill turns to the members of his Church and smiles, they slowly form a tight circle and quiet chants are heard softly coming from the group. Within moments...they turn to a dense fog..then completely fade from site as they vanish into the night as quickly as they appeared.

When I hear RB being referred to as a god I’m frequently reminded of a dictator that owned a small Caribbean country called Dominican Republic for roughly 30 years of the last century.
His name was Generalisimo Rafael Leonidas Trujillo Molina. He was known for quite a few things in his time of which I’ll only mention a few; during his ‘’government’’ it was customary to have a large visible picture of him hanging on a living room wall, otherwise you were likely to be socially blacklisted (bank accounts emptied, job position terminated, exiled), or worse. He wasn’t one for bribes but that was only because he had already stolen half of the country’s national treasure. Hell, the man was so egotistical he even changed to capital’s name from ‘’Santo Domingo’’ to ‘’Ciudad Trujillo’’ (which means ‘’Trujillo City’’).
That being said I definitely do not see Ravenblack as a god. More like an over glorified mayor with mob ties.
By the way, the Generalissimo’s reign ended by him being gunned down on his way home from a booty call by a hand full of his own people including one of his most trusted body guards.

Applying the original context of the "god among insects" concept to this situation amuses me greatly.

A god? I've never once even CONSIDERED RavenBlack to be a god. More of.. a Governor, really. He rules the city, and holds our lives in the palms of his hands, and yet he is no different than the rest of us.. besides the fact that he has connections that dig him out of trouble, just like corrupt government officials. And, wherever order is wanted, there will be chaos. Someone will always try and oppose a leader, be them a God, Lord, Governor, Mayor, Or President. Though they may appeal to the majority, a small minority will always see things in a different way. Everybody's different. and with myself being strictly irish, and having lived a good majority of my life in Greece, I believe greatly in Gods and Goddesses.
In my mind, no God would be one to accept bribes or money for puny mistakes. It sounds much to me like the corrupt church officials who the monk Martin Luther set out to destroy for their dishonesty and greed. Though, oh well.. as I said, everyone views RB differently.
though.. in my own final opinion.. Gods don't wear pink panties >>
