It's not my place to post a reminder to folks, which is why this isn't in OOC, but I'd sure like it if more people had their IGN in their signatures like it says to in the rules. No matter how beautiful your banner is, if it doesn't have your actual IGN in it, it's useless to me as a player. I understand if someone signed up with the name XxXtokenXhottieXxX and would rather be referred to as Shalinya der Windersnaffle or whatever, but I'd still like to be able to see who they are (or if they really exist). Obviously this doesn't matter for people whose forum name matches their IGN exactly, but for others it seems like it should be important.
The one that stands out to me right now is Liander - the guy has his own subforum here, but when I SS him it comes back as "no such vampire". I'd rather not have Prom arguing with what appears to be an expired alt.

Umm can I ask that their IGN go into that box on the left? I have signatures turned off (mostly because of the racy nature of some meant that I wouldnt' be able to view the site from my office and I've slowly learned by trial and error who some people are by virtue of the fact some other person refers to a vampire by their given name.
Like 'One True' I didn't know who that was until someone said Lestat... and I think I might have that wrong ... anyway - just a suggestion. I can't see signatures and have them turned off - so i can't tell who anyone is that doesn't have their real name on the left hand menu thing.

I'll find a way to make the transition so it's mandatory.-

To be fair, Matt, your vamp name isn't promethius, but Promethius, so the same thing could be said about you. Which leads to this: How picky are we going to be? I rather like things the way I have my signature and everything, etc. I think it's obvious enough what my IGN is and if not, a little click on the Character sheet link would do the trick. Otherwise, if it's truly necessary, I say take example from RBRP and force people to put it in a specific spot in the left-hand side. That way, as Puawai pointed out, even those who have siggies turned off can see it.

Yeah, and use the same format or OOC names >.> They eventually approved that over at RBRP. And test the coding on a dummy Proboards Bite forum for safety if you're concerned it might mess with the code.

I actually didn't realize vamp names were caps-sensitive for some reason. I always register with a capital P, but Proboards always makes it lower-case. I don't know how to change it, though.

Legion told us as long as you had it somewhere in your post, it was gold.
It all matches now, though.
