Hollywood Undead released their album Swan Songs in 2008 and gained some popularity among their human fans with such singles as “Undead” and “Sell Your Soul”. They combine rock and rap, much like the Transplants and the Gorillaz, although they sound more like a cheap combination of Linkin Park and Eminem. They also employ the gimmick of wearing makeup and masks, much like Slipknot. If you haven’t noticed, they tend to borrow a lot from others and I found the band and this album to be unoriginal and uninspiring. It’s not something that would make me change the radio station, but it’s not new or groundbreaking either.
The term swan song refers to an artist’s final performance and, in this case, this reviewer hopes this to be true. The humans might think it the cool thing to do, but I personally find them completely unworthy of the title “Undead.” Please let me know what you think.

I thought the song "Undead" was written as an ode to me.

You're so egocentric sometimes, old man... Beyond Moirai's bid for self promotion. I have to honestly say, I had never heard of this band until it was brought to my attention through the article. After curiosity got the better of me, I went and had a listen. Granted, the gimmicks are mildly entertaining (We already knew that, as they worked for so many other bands before them.) the music was, completely hallow and didn't keep my interest. As to the name, well it strikes me as just like the rest of them, make up, music and all, it's just another gimmick and means about as much as a wad of gum stuck to the bottom of a large man's shoe. (Annoying, but completely ignorable.)
