Support roles are as valuable, if not more valuable, than front line tankers.
I know how it feels to not have the DM locate, or having to sight while fighting. It feels like shit.

Coin, tactics, communication and everyone committed to the objective, everyone doing their part and some common sense is always a plus.

This being my first war since I came to the city, I have found myself pleasantly surprised by myself. Go Occam! At first I was concerned with the whole winning and losing thing, if for no other reason than I could say "my clan kicked your clans ass!" kind of deal. But, as the weeks have passed I find that my attitude has changed. In my eyes, I have already won this war. Not because I'm still standing, nor because I have more coins, nor because I am better than the opposing side. I am a victor because I have put all that I have into this fight, all that I have into The Ferrymen and all that I have into doing the best that I can night after night. And the cool part is this; I see that in all the other Ferrymen, as well. So, body counts, bank accounts, etc are just statistics. A war is one by the warriors that fight it honorably and bravely. seeeing i have not been in a war yet but reading these replies i certainly like this one---having had to attack only one person so far i did realize right away i wasted sprays and ap so i don't think i am ready for a larger war but i sure would try like hell

I have been zeroed in 2 wars. In the end I claim victory when I have managed to take more blood from others then they have taken from me. The kill shot is most pleasing or being there when it is thrown. I count over 30 of those. I like to recover my blood and progress to new blood ranks ASAP after a fight. Blood comes and goes but in the end blood is what shows a vampires time in the city to anyone who passes by. Even the noobies can tell the difference between a fully powered vampire with less then 5k and a pire who has 30k. You can't always win a war or even a battle but what you can be proud of is being able to know you took someone elses blood and a few months later look down at them with more blood then they have or ever had. At full blood I have 36,000 bps currently I have about 16k but soon Samantha and I will necro to full once we decide it's time. For now we hunt to make the necro prosses cheeper since the last war we were in was about 7 weeks long and we fought very hard throwing over 300 HWs and 100 GS's. What wins the war is being able to out last your enemies and and still be stronger after it is all over and ready to fight again.

There is no instance of a country having benefited from prolonged warfare. The Art of War by Sun Tzu. I tend to think that choosing what war is worth fighting, and knowing when and how not to fight a war is in the long run key to winning a war. Picking multiple fight eventually exhausts energy and funding, and also creates enemies, who are bound to gather and unite when a sign of weakness is shown. The side that wins a war is the side whose enemies know that they're ready, and if roused, can and will whack the other side's asses, yet does not fight unless forced to. They don't even have to fight, but since they're not aggressive, they won't create enmity towards them, but respect.
