Wouldn't bothering to say anything make you just as pointless? Exactly.

"The only thing worse than being talked about is not being talked about." -Oscar Wilde Among the few things I like even more than an old latin saying, a sentence from my old friend... Oscar... "Women are meant to be loved, not understood." "A woman will flirt with anyone in the world, so long as other women are looking on." "Women can discover everything except the obvious." "The proper basis for a marriage is mutual misunderstanding." "There is nothing in the world like the devotion of a married woman; it's a thing that no married man knows anything about." "Men marry because they are tired, women because they are curious; both are disappointed." "Experience is the name we all give to our mistakes." And... "I can resisy everything except temptation." "I have very simple tastes, I am always satisfied with the very best." "I like talking to a brick wall, I find it is the only thing that never contradicts me." "Whenever people agree with me, I always feel I must be wrong." Now... That's as much wisdom as a page can hold without exploding ;-)

You didn't include just my favourite one!
"I've always been in favour of masturbation. It's cleaner, safer and you meet a better class of person."

Pee-shaw!!Considering his penchants for men, I hardly find Oscar Wilde qualified to understand the thoughts and emotions of women.

He had children actually, and loved his wife a great deal. And she loved him.

I would venture to say on the Kinsley scale he would have most likely rated a 5: Predominantly homosexual, only incidentally heterosexual
I do not judge anyone's sexuality, everyone should be true to their nature and that is my point.

Wouldn't that make him Bisexual then? And there's nothing wrong with judging people's sexualities. Not a lot they can do about it after all...

Why would I desire to judge someone's sexuality?
I don't know what Mr. Wilde's motivations were in marrying Constance Lloyd, but assuredly he must have caused her great pain and sorrow.
She took the surname Holland for herself and their boys after Wilde's public downfall. A prime example as to why everyone should stay true to their nature, rather than trying to fit in or find acceptance.

It was the Victorian era... Obviously, nobody could be true to themselves.

Well, his being a homosexual precisely is what makes me love his statements regarding love and marriage... For more serious thoughts about women and marriage, I prefer Sacha Guitry, another man of words, who said (in French) something that roughly translates into "One is closer to the heart when the breast is small" "Women make the life unbearable to men, but without women, life would be even more unbearable" My favourite one would be the following one: "Men marry women thinking they'll never change, Women marry men thinking they'll change Both are wrong" That one is soooo true *laughs*

I believed that my love could change a man, and indeed it did.......for the worse .

Its one of those things that can't be rationalized Mando. At this point in time I think we should say sure you can believe what you want, pat them on the head, and move on with our lives. They (Tejas and Archie) never change. They live in their own world of smoke and mirrors so to say. So its futile to think differently. I would like to take a break from this conversation to say.... OMG!!! It's SAPPHIRA!!!!!!!!!!! *gets excited* Okay, you may return to the previously scheduled programming.

This reminds me of what happened back when I first came to the city and joined CAA. I got into the Forge just before Hesu left with the rest to form SIE. AA and tej got all upset that they were being treated badly because they were acting like idiots, so AA took his clan and 'removed' it from the city. Members of CAA were not allowed to speak with anyone outside of the clan... including family and friends. The only halls in the city they could visit were those for the clan or the RBA, which was owned by tejas. AA claimed that he wasn't going to interact with the city because of how they were acting and that he was going to build his clan up so they could kick ass when they came out of what he called 'Chrysalis'. Unfortunately for him the clan members soon began to get fed up with his megalomania and the younger pires who had never seen anything outside of the clan got curious and began to leave. CAA also turned on itself when Mooncalf began accusing loyal clan members of acts of insubordination. CAA ate itself alive because it's activity was so restricted there was no other outlet for frustration and paranoia. AA not 'remembering' members of the city and wars that happened is like a new form of Chrysalis. He's taking his ball and going home because he can't deal with the backlash for his own actions and he feels the need to enforce that upon his clan members as well. The Wake Up is the new RBA. Tejas controls the news and activity there so the Cap clan members only get filtered the news AA thinks they need to know. History is repeating itself 4 years later. It'll be interesting to sit back and see just how long before a Cap clan implosion or exodus will occur. 32 Blood Gods sitting in a row..... Man, we were all SO ready to kick their asses when the pink panties came off....fun times!!!
