Hahahaha Oh blackdragon that was awesome. Just one more thing that makes it easier for me to blend in at a fire pit and steal everything I can... wow... that was ... oh I'm gonna Tivo the shit outta that! YEAH I SAID IT!
Ya know - I can dig the whole going back to school thing...I've thought about it a few times myself, but WHY in the world would I want to repeat high school. If I ever venture into the realm of pretending to be a human, I'd certainly choose college. At least there I wouldn't have to sit through boooooooring...although it seems there's something to be said about having a lab partner....

Fine...I stand corrected. The books that this show is based on came out way before the Twilight books, BUT two lovers from different worlds? Still not original. That story has been told since before written language and this show makes our kind seem lame.

Who gives a damn about human affairs? Aren't we higher beings/ Smite them if your pantys are in a twist about it.

I dunno. I think it's rather similar to the way humans study primates and find them fascinating as they try to learn more about themselves from the lower creatures. I'm not saying that studying humans would do this for us, but I can't remember the last time a vampire contributed to their technological advancement that, consequently, allows me to sit here in my home and type away on my laptop in response.
Besides, there is something to be said for appreciating one's food.

I thought the books were -alright-. At least stook to some of the vampiric ways. But the show. . .? No, no, no. . .Soon enough, we'll have Stefan, Elena, and Damon's running around here.

We already have Bella's and Edward's.... >.>
My whole issue with it is the fact that to all these humans, vampires are just a trend. In a year of so vampires will be dark and scary and icky once more. We are not a trend. Also, we are portrayed as these beautiful creatures with a hint of danger and mystery. The truth of the matter is we are all monsters. The lust for blood and violence and war runs threw our veins. It has for centuries. These clueless humans should show us as such, not some little tweeny bopper's fantasy.

And this is why I never watch American cinema unless it's Kubrick or Tarantino. And while I mostly agree with Adeline with the exception of one or two spelling errors, I think it's going to take more than a year before we're portrayed as monsters again. Also, I do think it's somewhat important how we're displayed, given that movie making is an art. And to some, art matters. Though arguably, humanity's erroneous perception can't be in our detriment. Who among us would organise a production in which we act as ourselves, in all candour, to then publish it around the world?

Ugh. Dislike it if you wish...I've wanted to watch this since I heard about it. Then they put it on the -only- satellite package higher than the one I have. No watching for me! They advertised it on channels like SyFy, which I have, and it's on some weird channel I've never heard of til now, WPIX. Grrr! D:

Let the humans do what they want. Rant if you must, but that's not going to change anything, honestly.

True. So, who's in charge of the assassination project?
