Some helpful or somewhat careless soul had discarded a non descript bag into Irk’s ditch quite recently, this bag had now been claimed temporarily by Irk.
Applying a little pressure on the door before him it was gently eased open as he slipped into the room beyond it, not giving it much time to be barely open at all. Pausing by the afore mentioned door Irk cast a cursory glance about him as a simple precaution before advancing towards the four-poster bed where he knew he’d find his sire asleep, or so he hoped.
The swinging of the bag had been ceased since entering the room, a little effort was being put into keeping quiet now though he was fairly confident in the fact that he wouldn’t wake him. He’d been assured by another that he was a deep sleeper and was taking them at their word.
Halting abruptly besides the bed the fingers around the bag unclenched much like they were suffering from some sort of a spasm, the bag dropped onto the floor carelessly with a dull thump. Lowering himself besides the fallen bag Irk dug a hand in before extracting the clippers he had obtained, they were cheap noisy old things but he doubted he’d have further use of them after this. Earlier they had been tested out on a dog, Irk had no idea who the dog belonged to nor did he care for that matter. So as to not mess things up later when he carried out his plan the clippers had been put to use upon the canine, he suspected the thing had had fleas but saw no point in cleaning the clippers before further use. The idea of someone finding their dog half shaved amused him so that was an added bonus.
Straightening, Irk stood once more, thumb hovering over the switch before he caught himself. Producing some fluff from a pocket he pushed a little of the ginger fur he’d removed from the dog into each of Legion’s ears, closing one eye as he often did when concentrating. This time he did flick the switch, the sudden noise making him wince despite expecting it. Wrinkling his nose Irk leant forwards so as to sweep the clippers across Legion’s head. As the first lot of hair parted company with his scalp Irk allowed himself a smirk, as with all his expressions it was very deliberate. Slowly and carefully he continued on with this, darting an occasionally glance at Legion’s face. Was he just imagining the eyelids opening? Speeding up a little he frowned before slipping his hand behind Legion’s head, carefully lifting it just enough to allow him to shave his head completely. Switching the clippers off they were dropped onto the floor with a clatter, causing the batteries to jump out from their designated places. Eyeing his work Irk gave a shrug of his shoulders, it wasn’t expertly done of course but it would do.
Ducking down the bag once more was retrieved and shaken out onto the floor, revealing that it had also contained a tube of glue and a rather badly made wig. Removing the lid from the glue Irk eyed it dubiously, though he’d been planning this whole thing for a decent amount of time now he’d not bothered to get a hold of any wig glue. But he thought this cheap stuff would do anyway, coating the inside of the wig with the substance he held it by Legion’s head. Comparing its colour with the hair that was now scattered about the figure, it’d do. Lifting Legion’s head once more he slipped the wig in place, eyed it for a moment before giving a lock of it a brief tug so as to adjust it a minute fraction.
Having realised it was impossible to have a wig made from Legion’s hair in such a short time he’d then decided to have one made that just resembled it. But upon locating a wig maker (of which he’d no idea if it had a proper name) he had noticed one ready made that he thought looked close enough. It didn’t have to be that realistic after all…
Sweeping as much of the stray hair onto the floor as possible Irk kicked it under the bed and out of the way. The glue, clippers and bag followed along behind it shortly. Giving the sleeping figure one last glance Irk turned towards the door satisfied with a job well done, exiting the room he was only sad that he’d not get to see the reaction upon Legion’s awakening.
