Drives: Ebon is motivated primarily for his egocentric, self-serving hedonism. The man involves himself in a buisiness which allows him to make a great deal of money for relatively little work, and spends the rest of his time at his favorite tavern. When he's decided he wants something, he takes it, and relentlessly pursues it, though his drive to fulfill his desires is often undercut by his lack of attention, and easily bored attitude. Thus, once he's got what he wants, he usually gets rid of it shortly after.

She Moved Through the Fair
My young love said to me, "My mother won't mind
And my father won't slight you for your lack of kind."
And she stepped away from me and this she did say
It will not be long, love, till our wedding day."
As she stepped away from me and she moved through the fair
And fondly I watched her move here and move there
And then she turned homeward with one star awake
Like the swan in the evening moves over the lake.
The people were saying, no two e'er were wed
But one had a sorrow that never was said
And I smiled as she passed with her goods and her gear
And that was the last that I saw of my dear.
Last night she came to me, my dead love came in
So softly she came that her feet made no din
As she laid her hand on me and this she did say:
It will not be long, love, 'til our wedding day.
Gilgarra Mountain
As I was a-goin' over Gilgarra Mountain
I spied Colonel Farrell, and his money he was countin'.
First I drew my pistols and then I drew my rapier,
Sayin' "Stand and deliver, for I am your bold receiver."
Musha ringum duram da,
Whack fol the daddy-o,
There's whiskey in the jar.
He counted out his money and it made a pretty penny;
I put it in my pocket to take home to darlin' Jenny.
She sighed and swore she loved me and never would deceive me,
Bu the devil take the women, for they always lie so easy!
Musha rungum duram da
I went into me chamber all for to take a slumber,
To dream of gold and girls, and of course it was no wonder:
Me Jenny took me charges and she filled them up with water,
Called on Colonel Farrell to get ready for the slaughter.
Musha rungum duram da
Next mornin' early, before I rose for travel,
A-came a band of footmen and likewise Colonel Farrell.
I goes to draw my pistol, for she'd stole away my rapier,
But a prisoner I was taken, I couldn't shoot the water.
Musha rungum duram da
They put me into jail with a judge all a-writin':
For robbin' Colonel Farrell on Gilgarra Mountain.
But they didn't take me fists and I knocked the jailer down
And bid a farewell to this tight-fisted town.
Musha ringum duram da
I'd like to find me brother, the one who's in the army;
I don't know where he's stationed, be it Cork or in Killarney.
Together we'd go roamin' o'er the mountains of Kilkenny,
And I swear he'd treat me fairer than my darlin' sportin' Jenny!
Musha ringum duram da
There's some takes delight in the carriages and rollin',
Some takes delight in the hurley or the bollin',
But I takes delight in the juice of the barley,
Courtin' pretty maids in the mornin', o so early!
Musha ringum duram da
~History~
Quick'n Dirty...no there ain't a other option
Ebon was born in Dublin in 1840 to a pair of poor merchants, and was given the name Blake Anrahan. His childhood was fairly inconsequential up until the Great Potatoe Famine in Ireland. By the age of seven, he was being forced to move with his family to the United States in order to survive the harsh conditions. Blake's father and mother agreed to become indentured servants to a wealthy New Yorkian family. He, being their only child, was taken along.
On the boat trip across the Pacific, Blake's father died and upon arriving at their destination, Blake's mother was informed that she'd be expected to serve the time that the father would have, making her little more than a slave for life. At the age of 14, in 1854, Ebon's mother gave him what little money she had, telling him to get away so that he would not get sucked into the life of servitude. The youth left and never looked back.
Being a poor boy, with little education, Blake was unable to find an effective form of honest pay, but his quick wit, affability, and shrewd yet conniving tactics thrust him into one of the famed New York gangs of the 1800s. He remained an integral member of his society for nine years, until the age of 23, wherein the year 1863, he was turned by New York's master vampire.
Even after his turning, Ebon remained a member of his gang, the Gollier, and actually became an even more influential figure due to his penchant for mesmerisation and enthrallment. Being a charming, yet unambitious figure, he continued to work with various secret societies and gangs until he became a resident of Ravenblack City.
Upon entering Ravenblack, Ebon realized quickly that there was a market which needed to be tapped into, and he quickly set up his shady services as a bounty hunter, specializing in vampire hunters who had attacked wealthy vampires in the past. Quickly, he began to gain a great deal of wealth, most of which he blew at a local pub, his favorite bar, the Freeman's Tavern. Essentially setting up his base of operations from the second story of the building, it is also his home. He can be found spending his days sprawled drunk, getting into bar fights, dragging unsuspecting men and women up to his personal rooms in the tavern, or working his business.
Ye Seen It Ain't Ye, Right? Good, Now Fuck Off!
