On a typical night, filled mostly by darkness and a few shards of light from the moon in between shifting clouds, a shadowy figure stood hunched over between two buildings with a faintly glowing cigarette pursed between supple lips. The creature was Beezil; a lanky, fragile looking woman who had become soaked by the incessant rain that had been pelting the city streets for three days. Tendrils of dark brown hair clung around her face beneath a black hood, and glowing orange irises stood out from the dark like the burning end of her cigarette.
Beezil was simply waiting for an opportunity...
As she stood within the narrow alley, she began idly tapping her feet to a beat that existed only within the confines of her mind. A brief, exasperated sigh escaped her as she looked down to discover her cigarette had been drenched by the rain water as well. She tossed the soggy thing to the ground with a frown that distorted her normally mellow facial features. As the demonic woman peered into the street though the thick waves of precipitation, she was suddenly forced to jerk her gaze to the left. The faint sound of a young man muttering angrily could be heard... just barely. Beezil grinned malevolently and steepled long, frail fingers together in pure joy at the prospect.
As she listened closely to the sound of the approaching male's voice and the uneven footsteps sloshing through puddles, Beezil grazed over her many sharp teeth with a long, forked tongue. The human was close... very close. So close that its heart beat was pounding inside her head. She could smell his blood, even through the thick mist in the air. As the man neared the alley Beezil was hiding in, he stopped abruptly to retie a loose shoelace. The demon almost let out a harsh huff of air in annoyance, but quickly held her breath so she would not be heard.
Beezil used her vampiric prowess to quickly disperse into a mass of black wisps that licked at the air violently from a small focal point near what used to be the center of her chest. The shadows slowly crawled along the brick walls, inching ever closer to their newest victim. She reformed again and appeared behind the young human with an insane grin spread across her face. Her eyes were aflame and completely transfixed on his neck. She reached out a feeble looking index finger and gently tapped the man on his shoulder.
*Tap* *Tap* *Tap*
The blonde turned around incredibly slowly as if he already knew his fate. The devilish woman could not help herself as she grinned even wider, and her eyes burned into his mind, filling it with terrible images. His brown orbs were wide and bulging from their sockets. His chin trembled, his legs quivered, then his entire body shuddered and collapsed to the ground.
Beezil barked out a mad laugh, then reached down and ripped through the man's bleach blonde hair with her sharpened nails, only to jerk him back to his feet so she could stare deeper into his eyes. She hissed at him in a clearly condescending voice, "It's a beautiful night, my dear boy... Don't you agree?" As she finished her sentence, her expression became disturbing and furious. She dug her claws deep into his flesh, ruthlessly tearing through it like paper. Her jaw unhinged, allowing her to open wide a mouth filled with razor sharp fangs.
Beezil was merciless in her kill as always, and she clamped down upon the poor, fragile little human's neck. She pulled her entire head backward, ripping away a good chunk of the man's throat and exposing the pulsing jugular vein beneath. She spat out the unwanted flesh, and quickly slammed her jaws back down against the gaping wound she'd created. Liquid rubies gushed into her mouth as she drained him, filling her with a euphoria that numbed her entire being. She released the grip on his throat for a brief, fleeting moment, only to trace the exposed muscle of his neck with her tongue and lap away any spilled blood.
She remained latched tightly onto her victim's neck until she'd had her fill of his vitae.
As the young human's heart beat faded, so did Beezil's frenzied state. She let forth a short, quiet moan of satisfaction, then released her hold and let the lifeless corpse fall to the ground. Within mere seconds, Beezil had vanished, leaving the body in a heap on the sidewalk.
