Notice about Character Sheets
As many people know, the ongoing debate about character sheets continues to rage on. So.. consider this the 'formal statement' regarding Character Sheets on Bite.
WHAT WE'RE GOING TO DO:
We will have two sections on Bite. Character Sheets and Vampire Profiles. Character Sheets will remain above the Roleplay section while Vampire Profiles will more than likely be placed in the Entertainment section.
THEN YOU MAY CHOOSE.
If you want your character sheet MOVED because you feel it is IC, contact me at your earliest convenience. This also opens up a place where you, the player, can create an IC “version” of your CS if you so choose. If you want your CS to stay in the OOC section, then shut up and quit arguing about it.
Since Bite is an online forum in its IC sense, I think it'd be cool to have “membership profiles” or things of the sort. And that way, everyone is happy.
BUT KEEP IN MIND
What you reveal in your IC Vampire Profile CAN BE READ AND USED by other characters. So: Don't put anything in your IC profile you wouldn't want your vampire's grandma reading or some other stuff like that. If you're not comfortable with the information you're giving out about your character, either don't put it there or put it in the OOC CS section so that players can understand all about your character and not the vampires.
Also, in your vampire profiles I would like you to phrase things in the first person (if possible) or make some sort of clarification that it is the vampire writing it, so that there's even less confusion about the change.
THANK YOU and I hope this helps make things a little easier and a little happier for everybody.
