New Word of the Day :cock1 [kok] -noun [/b][/i] 1. a male chicken; rooster. 2. the male of any bird, esp. of the gallinaceous kind.[/ul] [/blockquote] Have You Ever :used a microwave to cook your cock egg? I did. It exploded. What I Learned : *Most important: Cocks do not lay eggs.
*Chinese food is surprisingly superb. Who knew sweet and sour was such a wonderful mixture of tastes?
*Letat's surname is not really Jones. From Now On I Should : use the term rooster. The use of cock leads to misunderstood phrasing and supposed innuendo.Karna

*frowns* You realise what soapboxes are for? To share thoughts and concerns on any subject you find interesting and hope others also do.
You realise this does not qualify as a subject, nor is there any hope that anyone find it interesting?

I disagree, black_dragonet. While a soapbox is intended to express certain subjects that often are discussed, it is up to the user in general whether or not to practice such a value.
Besides, there is truth in what she is going on about and good words to live by. If everyone went around calling roosters... Well, cocks... Then it would lead to more misunderstandings.

Hey I think its kinda entertaining. Who's to stop her if she wants to do word of the week. it's a light hearted column for fun reading...not everything has to be philosophical all the time.
And I agree with Archontos there. She has a point.

Maybe... Forgive my sour mood. I still don't find any point in the message, but to each their own. That person certainly is entitled to say whatever catches her fancy in her own column...

If you're so sour, maybe you need to spend some time with your wife for a little more sweet? After all, it is a winning combination, as the lady said.
I found this very interesting, and entertaining. And really, she let people know my surname isn't Jones so it's also informative!

You say it's not important.
I say you try to explain yourself when she asks you if you have a cock somewhere. *
Indeed.
*And if you can show it to her.

I find that roughly sixty-five percent of the time I have absolutely no clue what I'm talking about.
