This reporter had a chance to harass RoR Consul member nitenurse for her take on the RoR/Ygg/Poe war..
The lovely lady was a joy to talk to, and even shared some fashion tips for battle with me.
Coquette D'dary: *taps a little* One, two, Bite reporters are comin' for you... have a minute?
Coquette D'dary: I'd like to continue with the second part of my PoE/RoR/Ygg interviews if and when you have time, Lady nitenurse. RoR's up next. *pins a little note with some candies and wanders*
nitenurse: hello
Coquette D'dary: Oh! You are here! I thought it was empty.
Coquette D'dary: Anyway, hello! I was wondering if you'd be willing to do an interview, much like that I conducted with Lady ophelia, for the second part of my coverage of the RoR/PoE/Ygg conflict.
nitenurse: certainly
nitenurse: I really enjoyed that interview by the way
Coquette D'dary: Ooh, thank you. I did my best.
Coquette D'dary: Most of the questions will end up being pretty similar, with a few new ones sprinkled in due to recent developments with IDC's surrender.
nitenurse: okay, that works
nitenurse: I've read it, but don't have the paper open
Coquette D'dary: Great. I worried a bit that readers would think I was planning on leaving the other involved clans out.
nitenurse: I'm patient... always have been
nitenurse: and pinning ophelia down for an interview is a challenge
Coquette D'dary: *pulls out a fluffy and taps it against her lips, perusing her pink stationary* I appreciate the patience. As with Lady ophelia's interview, anything goes. We're not a stuffy boring paper, so feel free to talk about anything you want in between questions.
nitenurse: *smiles* okay
Coquette D'dary: I was afraid ophelia would eat me at first. Heh. I'd never really spoken to her at length before, so she was a bit scary to a kid like me. *chuckles* Alrighty, first up.. Could you tell us the name of your clan and perhaps offer a bit of clan history for us?
nitenurse: Republic of Ravenblack
nitenurse: we were founded in September 05
nitenurse: 3 of our 4 founders came from the League of Shadow Demons... with the goal of taking what LoSD did well, and fixing what they felt it didn't do well
nitenurse: Seyda was one of the founders... and was the last of the original Consul to leave
Coquette D'dary: *nods, scribbling furiously, plumes on the fuzzy pink pen swaying* Coming up on 3 years for RoR. That's wonderful. And of course, if this war is any indication, you've got a strong, thriving clan on your hands. How has RoR fared in the recent conflict with PoE? We already know that Ygg and yourselves have zeroed 28 members of PoE so far. Would you like to add anything to that?
nitenurse: It's been interesting for me especially
nitenurse: PoE also was an offshoot of LoSD
nitenurse: I know pretty much all of their leaders from my clan schooling
nitenurse: or from the time I was a leader of LoSD
Coquette D'dary: Wow, that must have been interesting, and also a bit conflictual with obligations of the heart and of the clan. How did you cope with that?
nitenurse: It's business... pure and simple
nitenurse: They attacked my sire... to think I'm not going to stand beside her... well, that's foolish
nitenurse: if anything... it made me fiercer
Coquette D'dary: I think I would feel very much the same way, so that's completely understandable. I take that to mean you're still maintaining friendships with the members and leaders of PoE, being as it's business, or do you feel they'll be affected by the conflict?
nitenurse: if you let emotion rule you in battle, you'll lose..
nitenurse: yes... I still think of doncey as a friend
nitenurse: I had a job to do, as did they
nitenurse: if their opinion of me changed as a result of me being on the other side... I can't help that.
nitenurse: We may be a bit more tentative... and not talk about clan stuff for a bit... not the we ever really talked clan stuff except in general terms
Coquette D'dary: *smiles a bit, scribbling* That's very noble. Having never been clanned, I'm always very curious to see how dynamics work with friends who may or may not be members of opposing clans.
Coquette D'dary: *glances at her paper* Why do you think PoE hasn't managed to zero a single member of Ygg or RoR?
nitenurse: I could comment on strategy and that kind of thing... but the conflict isn't over
nitenurse: Bottom line... preparation, resources and attention to detail...
Coquette D'dary: And you don't feel PoE had any of those?
nitenurse: Not saying that
Coquette D'dary: *nods*
nitenurse: but you are talking to the Queen of spreadsheets
Coquette D'dary: Ooh, I love lists and spreadsheets. *grins* So you just feel that RoR and Ygg was better prepared?
nitenurse: even my wife will tell you about the reams of data I have
Coquette D'dary: Data. *swoons*
nitenurse: *whispers* a new spreadsheet is like foreplay
nitenurse: gets me all tingly
Coquette D'dary: *grins to herself, hiding the smile behind her pen* Oh, my, post-war sex from ophelia and foreplay from nitenurse. I can only imagine what I'll get in my interview with doncey.
nitenurse: hahahahah
nitenurse: well... the post wargasm orgasm is pretty incredible
Coquette D'dary: I have a theory that Holy Water contains pheremones.. makes the doused absolutely irresistable to their significant other.
nitenurse: *laughs* you've a thought there... for me, it's the leather pants
Coquette D'dary: *raises a brow* Leather pants? Do tell..
nitenurse: well... Nara and I wear leather to fight in
nitenurse: She's pretty darn hawt
Coquette D'dary: *nods* Is there a specific reason for the leather or do you just want to dazzle the opposing side with hot girls in tight pants?
nitenurse: a bit of both... leather is just... well.. a less likely to get saturated in nasty stuff
Coquette D'dary: *nods again* Nothing like going into war in style, though. Heh. How do you feel about PoE telling its members not to take another torpor if they are rezeroed? Some members are calling subsequent torpors "excessive" and unneccessary.
nitenurse: It's changing the rules mid-battle. To me, that's an ethical thing
nitenurse: If you don't take torpor at all, fine... but to then say that you're not going to rest if you're torpored a second time says you'll bend the rules whenever it suits you
nitenurse: And since I was the one who ordered the second killing on one of the first who came out of torpor, I'll just say this...
nitenurse: if you come out of torpor... announce it and immediately insult the opposition with complaints of abuse... which did not happen...
nitenurse: you are inviting us to shut you up again
nitenurse: The war is not over... but we've only re-zero'd Altania and then a few who attacked us
Coquette D'dary: So how many of the war's zeroings have been re-zeroed?
nitenurse: Altania, limelight, Lady Gray and IceAngel
Coquette D'dary: Ouch. Once is enough for me, I think. Heh. If you can speak on it, realizing that the conflict is still ongoing, what tactics has RoR utilized during the war that you feel has been the most effective in teaming with Yggdrasil? Moreso, what tactics have you observed PoE using that you feel are hindering rather than helping them?
nitenurse: Communication and teamwork
nitenurse: This is the first multi-clan war I've been involved in since becomng Consul
nitenurse: so I can't compare what has happened in the past
nitenurse: but ophelia and I have been in very close contact throughout
nitenurse: I don't know if doncey, Miranda and Shaar were, or not...
nitenurse: It's more of a challenge when you meld together warriors of two groups...
nitenurse: Those nametags can get in the way, yanno
Coquette D'dary: I bet. It seems like it's hard enough to get everyone in the same place at the same time, especially when you've got so many clans working together to fight against each other.
nitenurse: oh, but it's fun..
Coquette D'dary: Well, of course it's fun! It's war!
Coquette D'dary: Since, I have to ask, are there any outstanding clanmates (on either Ygg or RoR) who have contributed with excellence to the war?
nitenurse: and I've enjoyed working with ophelia
nitenurse: all of them really
nitenurse: You realize that RoR had been in a conflict with Lord Galamushi prior to the joint war
Coquette D'dary: I had heard something about it, though I never got any details.
nitenurse: so the fact that my people have been as enthusiastic after 4 weeks as they were that first night... I am so proud of them all
Coquette D'dary: Where do you see RoR going post-war?
nitenurse: After our big party?
nitenurse: you know... you have to have a party
Coquette D'dary: For some reason, I can picture you guys throwing a big party and yelling, "I'm going to Disneyland!' while confetti floats through the air.. *dreams*
nitenurse: and then the vacation.... Nara and I are going to Ireland.... to a cottage given to us for a wedding gift by Seyda and Asmia
Coquette D'dary: That sounds romantic. Good place to dress your wounds and test out my theory on HW pheremones.
nitenurse: oh yeah... you know it
nitenurse: the clan as a whole? I think we've shown comradery and an ability to work together...
Coquette D'dary: I think, with the current statistics, you're right. No clan does this well in a conflict without having a tight-knit group.
Coquette D'dary: Others, however, are falling apart. Why do you think PoE has seen several members leave the clan following the first leg of this conflict?
nitenurse: It would be inappropriate of me to speculate what happened there...
nitenurse: But to be so totally mismatched is something to think about
nitenurse: whether they left because of things that happened during the war, or other reasons...
nitenurse: that is something that only Doncey could answer
Coquette D'dary: I plan on asking him just as soon as I can interview him.
Coquette D'dary: Could you give readers a hint on what some of the negotiations for IDC's surrender entailed, or is that to be kept private?
nitenurse: I commend DarkWarrior for being honest with us, and putting ego aside to work for the good of his clan members.
nitenurse: Besides that.... I'll respect the privacy of the process
Coquette D'dary: It's been said ceasefire talks with PoE were turned into a mockery by their second-in-command. Could you comment further?
nitenurse: I believe the conversation was posted somewhere... but essentially, he countered our first offer with something that totally offended both ophelia and I.... which he later said was a joke
Coquette D'dary: I think it was something regarding selling his clan leader into slavery for a week.
nitenurse: *nods* yes... that was it
Coquette D'dary: The inappropriateness of this statement is what is keeping the battle between RoR, Ygg, and PoE continuing?
nitenurse: well, what has kept the war continuing is that we've not finalized agreements with each entity
Coquette D'dary: *nods* Now, ophelia said something about the leaders of RoR being married *winks*.. she wouldn't tell me if Ygg clan members took group showers after battle, how about RoR?
nitenurse: well... there are numerous married couples in both clans
nitenurse: but that's as far as the gang showers go
nitenurse: and yes, I'm married to my 2iC
Coquette D'dary: No locker room parties for either RoR or Ygg? Shucks..
nitenurse: no... but we are paired off
Coquette D'dary: Well, that can still be pretty fun. *grins*
nitenurse: and those dark alleys... well...
Coquette D'dary: They're awful tempting, aren't they?
nitenurse: you never know what you'll see
Coquette D'dary: I think I gotta start peeking around corners into dark alleyways more often..
nitenurse: *chuckles* especially after armed conflict
Coquette D'dary: Heh. I need to buy me some binoculars. Well, I've got to bring this interview to a close, sadly, but is there anything else you'd like to add? Maybe even a proclamation for your love for Bite? *wiggles brows*
nitenurse: oh, I've enjoyed wandering around the Bite... I put an announcement to my clan yesterday
Coquette D'dary: Oh, our first clan announcement! *tosses up some apple shaped confetti* Thank you!
nitenurse: *grins* I like folks to be well informed
Coquette D'dary: I do, too. That's why we created Bite! *beams* Well, it's been most lovely talking to you, and I wish you and yours well for the rest of the conflict. I'll get this straight to editing and the article will be printed in a few minutes. *reaches into her bag and pulls out a small stress ball shaped like an apple with fangs* Don't forget your free gift from Bite.
Coquette D'dary: It was a pleasure. Thank you very much for granting us an interview.
nitenurse: *stands and offers my hand* it was a pleasure
Coquette D'dary: *offers her hand in return, wrapping her slender fingers around the other woman's and shaking it soundly as she stands* Thank you, again. *dashes off to copy*
There you have it, Biters. Keep your eyes peeled for an interview with doncey in a few days!
