To be entirely fair, he didn't ask me to post this here on his behalf. I saw it on the Auction door and I chose to post it myself, thinking it would either be removed within a few hours to "protect the auction" or that it would provide some sort of conversation for others here as well as keep the public updated on what was going on. Janus really did nothing to prompt me to post this, as far as I'm aware he doesn't even read Bite very often.
As for the rest, I don't really know the motives behind anyone's choice to remove themselves. I just post what I see.

And no. I still haven't figured out how to quote multiple people in one reply post. So sue me.

Then I stand corrected; he pussied out and didn't 'send' anyone to inform us of it. ;D

Maybe he really just doesn't like the way recent events were handled, and as a result he refused to be associated with the establishment, as he -would- be earning them some profit through his slavery.
Then again, maybe I'm just thinking logically.

Simply from the standpoint of someone who's not been involved in this, I have to say it looks like Mina's decision was rash and impulsive. Now before you jump all over me for saying that, here's why.
The auction is, last I checked, a public event. By being public it means that anyone with any background, preferences, opinions, and experience can participate. By having the auction open to all it assures that the auction runners will fill the openings they have for potential slaves with no problem. Once the places are filled and the bidding ends, the auction staff makes a tidy profit.
Now if the auction staff starts to nitpick who can join or bid in the auction, it becomes far less public and more of a 'you can only join if the staff likes you' thing. First off, that's bad for the staff... less new blood and jostling to get in the auction, less profit for staff. Second, it makes the auction far less desirable if the person you want to bid on or have buy you isn't 'welcome' by the staff.
Any public position you take on, be it staff at an auction, a clan leader or member, or the owner of a Hall or paper, will leave you open to public opinion and/or ridicule. Not everyone will like you, and not everyone will be nice to you or your family just because of who you are.
Banning Tif and Ladyb makes you look petty. It reflects badly on the auction as a whole that one staff member being upset about something said in a place completely unrelated to the auction can cause people to get banned just because the staff got it's feelings hurt. It makes it look even worse that the document in question that caused the bannings was altered to add names and leave out other parts of the convo.
In the words of someone else, somewhere... Mina, suck it up and deal with it.

Mandolin: Amen. I heartily agree with you. I have to add that anyway, I am not one likely to be found near the blocks, and certainly not on them.

I went up a few times and enjoyed the coin I gained from it.... as a matter of fact the auctions were one of the first things I did when I came here. It's changed a lot since then though, and I don't think it's been a good change at all.

I'm actually rather starting to warm to you, Mandolin.
And that, well, it scares me.

It scares me too....
Just don't try and, you know, hug me or anything.

Oh, don't worry about that. I was brought up in England.
I don't do bodily contact.

In that case I think it's fair to let you know I was brought up in France. You should worry a lot

Most of us cant stand you, your not banned. You do something during the auction. They would get rid of you. I understand that your lacking logic, but hopefully that is simple enough for you to understand. Outright insults, are not differing opinions there insults. K? k.

*laughs* Kaio... you seriously don't want us to believe the auction is held in the ghetto... I have yet to see serious insulting. Saying that someone is unfuckable hardly qualifies as an insult to minds other than yours.
And Kaio, associating yourself with logic, wow... that is ambitious. Associating you to chaos, that I'm used to, and that was the whole point of your article, but don't try to make us think youhave serious logic.
