Is it possible that when someone writes a severance or binding, that they post the SS stats on both pires and state whether it is a divorce or a chylder severance? I'm not psychic and I have no way of knowing how two pires were related in the past unless the reporting party gives out the pertinent information. After all, if someone deems it important enough to report, then at least they can do it in a way that will actually leave the readers more informed and not left scratching their heads wondering what to make of the short cryptic article.
Maybe someone on staff here can write a sticky article with a standardized format for reporting this stuff. I mean seriously, I've seen Sireing articles that basically just say Vampire XXXX sires a new chylde. I'm sorry, but that's kinda lazy. Once we get a good standardized format, we can start deleting any further articles that don't meet the requirements.
Yeeha!!! Lets start layin down the law here. First the oversized banners and next the half assed sever/sire articles
I love this paper and I want to see it succeed. But in order for it to succeed, it needs to uphold higher standards.

Well, if you pay attention there's a very simple system implemented that the -reporters- use when posting severances and sirings. For instance, with sirings, we generally do post "Vampire X sires Vampire Y", and in the body of the post, we tend to bold the name of the vampire that was sired and their lineage. In severances, there is a similar system. For partner severances, nothing is made bold, as a line was removed from an SS. So, generally speaking, if you view a post with an SS where nothing is made bold, then it's safe to assume that it's a partner severance. For childer/sire severances, on an SS the "Vampire X is a master vampire with no sire." part is made bold. Thereby making it obvious. In the title, it will say "Vampire X (sire) severs Vampire Y (childe)" or (Vampire Y (childe) severs Vampire X (sire)" dependant upon who did the severing. Regardless, however, only the childe's SS is placed in the original posting, and the master vampire part is highlighted to point out which party is sireless in the situation. With a little logic, it's fairly obvious. I'm not sure how that system is remarkably complicated, nor how someone such as yourself can't figure it out. It's not our place to go digging into the private lives of others and report the reasons, gossip, or dirt behind every binding or severance, and generally those are only stated at the request of either party, so unfortunately "short and cryptic" is mostly what you get. HOWEVER. I would agree with one part of this, and I have been -trying- to get some of the freelancers to get this done. IF YOU POST A SEVERANCE, SIRING, BINDING, OR OTHERWISE, PLEASE INCLUDE AN SS IN YOUR INITIAL POST. I don't want to see any more titles with just a "congrats, you two" written after them. It leaves me more work to go back and fix it just because you're lazy. Thanks.
