Exactly when did it become common for a splinter to approach a a vampire and OFFER to take a contract on someone unsolicited by said vampire?
You all are supposed to be 'unbiased' and 'doing a job you're hired to do'. Does this now include whoring out those old beliefs and begging about town for contracts? Or was that always the nature of your business? I'd appreciate the clarification.
Just curious.

We've always offered our services to vampires who wish a job done whom don't wanna do it themselves. However, I would need more clarification on the matter your talking about to make any further statement.

I realise your services are offered to the general public to those that do not wish to do attacks themselves. And I've always said that the Splinters are not to be hated, they provide a valuable service to a select few. I am referring to a splinter going to someone and saying 'so you thinking about takin out a contract on vampire x' without first being solicited. In other words, to use you and I as an example, rather than ME coming to YOU and saying, How much will xxx coins get me for an attack on vampire xxx, it would be YOU coming to ME and saying, so you thinking about contracting a hit on xxx. Hence, direct solicitation from a splinter. I am not seeking to be ooogie toward you all, not one bit. I am simply seeking clarification as to whether or not this is the actual protocol on services offered.

If we have received information that someone wants to take a contract out then we follow up on such matters. So if I heard you were looking for a contract then it is plausible that I would contact you and inquire about such a matter. To either a) find out if you truly do wish to take out the contract or b) dispel the notion of the possible contract.
Now, if I were to just randomly be like "Hey ophelia, you wanna take out a contract?" That is not a typical practice for a geekonid.

It's not typical, so you say. Yet, it's happened.

To my understanding the issue in question was the first option. As in, we got a tip someone wanted a contract, a splinter did follow up.

I fail to see the point of hirring SoD if they just go around telling people who contracted them to kill someone. Your just better off doing the job yourself since you can't hide the fact you hired them.

~HiS~ And I think most of fail to see the point of this being made public in the first place? It would have been just as easy to send her a personal note for the clarification of your inquiry, which, even after her asking you for a specific indcent, you failed to provide.
Perhaps one should practice what they preach?
