*bows*
It's a bit short, actually, but that's filling my soul.
There are two people I would very muck like to thank.
As some of you may know (advertisment inside!) the L.O.A.N program allowed me to buy an modest but extremely cosy mansion in the southeaster part of the city. I have a most pleasant and agreeable neighbour, Obsidian, and it is just wonderfully quiet there.
I am most happy with my place.
Quite shortly after getting it, I met a nice couple of vampires, who were in need of a job. He is a butler, and she is a maid, recently arrived in the city. I thus offered to hire them to keep watch over my place.
It seems they are quite delighted with their fate. I let them choose their room in the mansion. At first, they thought I would have them live in domestic's quarters, but I told them I just did not do like that. To me, they are as valuable, if not more, as the guests that may come, so I insisted on their choosing the room where they would feel best. They chose the room up the stairs.
With time, I grew very much fond of these two. They are kind, efficient and lively. They have me happy and smiling with their eagerness to hear about my jobs and errands. I would not want them to have to leave.
As some of you may know, now and then, our lord Ravenblack checks on our servants. Noone's household should be numbering more than 4, lest we vampires wake up in his mysterious jail.
Someday, all of our servants might have to be accounted for, and he may not offer advance warning.
This is why, considering the last fit of our lord, I started to worry about obtaining green cards for my friends. Green cards require human money, five credits of them. Unfortunately, human money is something I do not have, since the only thing I could bring with me from my human days is my sword.
I happened to find an advertisment, someone offering one human credit for sale. To make a long story short, I ended up not buying said credit, but I left a message explaining that I was looking for means to buy a green card for my friends.
I was amazed, and deeply moved to see that two nice people of this fine city sent not only answered my call, but also did not wish to accept any form of monetary compensation I was willing to offer.
My friends are shy, and do not like to be away from what has become their home, so they won't speak up heren but I know I can convey you two people their thanks, along with mine.
I thank you immensely for them, and also for me, for your gentleness and generosity.
I shall remember that.
