*grins* There's always something to do for the courageous... From pumping up the blood and/or coin level to teaching the younglings, the ideas abound. I relish the war times when they happen, but I don't NEED them to be happy. A meeting with friends will cure any of that "boredom" so many complain about.
Boredom ? not for me.

The writer's itch, I guess you'd call it. Hmm... maybe one way to alleviate my boredom would be to RP in prose, mayhaps. My human has the tendency to write poetry too much.

What do you keep a human for if not for eatings? You keep mentioning it. You should swap for a rat, they don't taste very nice but make for better pets. I could exchange you one. <.<

Everyone seems to want ‘action’ of some sort these days, as though it should be delivered to their doorstep like a surprise gift from some mail order catalogue. At least that is my personal perception. It doesn’t work that way. I can understand the restlessness at times of the younger generation, but perhaps it is their time to rise to the occasion and create new excitements. It also annoys me to no end that folks expect the ‘Elders’ or ‘Founders’ or old farts of the city to do something about it. I’m not bored. I firmly believe that we make our own pleasures and entertainment as well as our own doldrums and miseries. If one is bored, then it is by choice.

We'll just have to see.

Because there is nothing new in the city. There are no tyrants to flock to, or to revolt against. There are no more unknowns, as there have been in the past. Clan wars have been done before, and done to death in many cases. The annual punch up between The Inner Circle and the House of Heorot has taken place, and they've packed up until next year when one will attack the other 'For Sparta!' or for some other equally ridiculous reason. The age of the bloodline is coming to an end. In short, people do not care as much as they once did. We have passed from one age of hazy memories and never to be forgotten deeds, into an age which has been dominated thus far by fledgling vampires who neither care about the history of our city, or lived it for themselves. They trudge the long trudge from the ghettos to the suburbs, and they think themselves god's gift to the city. And then these same barely sentient apes decided that they want to join a clan. And that, dear readers, is how to make a TygerNight. Whilst he is, perhaps, the most proclaimed and easily called to memory example of what I am describing, there are others out there, idling by in secret. In past times, this did not happen. Those socially involved in the city were thankful for that chance, and cherished it. I remember, in fact, the first time I met EvilBill, shortly before he led his Church to war against the Kingdom of Heorot, I bowed to him, and addressed him as 'Sir'. How many times has that kind of respect been shown to those of equal and greater standing to his in the last year or so? You say that the city is stagnating, wallowing in the throws of apathy and boredom. And I agree, I say that it is. But I also say that it will only stay this way if we do nothing to stop it. I remember a time when clans were more than just warbands looking for the next scuffle. I remember the times when the city, despite its differences, as a whole was a fairly tightly knit community, hell, even a democracy. There is nothing stopping a return, whilst not to these times, times like them. The only thing in our way... is ourselves. *blinks* Dude, wtf? Exactly what the fuck are you smoking? Seriously. How do you take a thread about boredom and single out me, of all pyres in this entire City? Are you that fucking obsessed with me or something? Or just that BORED? Get a fucking unlife you asshat, ffs.

I'm not obsessed with you. Just when one needs an easy target for derision, you pop up.
It helps that you're an utter cock, too.

If one is bored, then it is by choice. ~HiS~ Very good point. I happen to be bored to the point of drooling. My mind is gone and sleep seems an enticement to me again. But instead, I've decided to come out and play. See who I can find. I'm not the younger generation, and I don't expect things delieverd to me like the morning paper. But it's so god damn hard to meet people these days. And how can I raise hell, if I don't know anyone?!

Hrm...I get bored on a rare occassion...usually a single night here and there...maybe not even actual boredom but just in need of a little something different for the evening? Well, you all know how I do that...i come poke some drama in the papers and such *snorts*
Though like Andre said up there somewhere...its getting icky with the new generation...not quite as fun as it used to be with all the whining and need to curse like a sailor on a high just to make your point. I used to genuinely like a good debate from the opposite side of the city...pumped the adrenaline...now Im sorta left with the thought, "why didnt i just get drunk and talk to myself a bit" for new entertainment.
