The only reason I finished the Twilight series after having my friend practically thrust the first one down my throat was so that I could poke fun at it. Which is also the same reason I'm going to see New Moon on Thursday.
Good job, Puawai, and good luck. All four books are utter literary blasphemy.

The books, I'm sure, are brilliant if you're an overly angst ridden fourteen year old. I, however, prefer to have slightly more substance to my fiction. You're a Harry Potter kind of guy, aren't you? LOL I haven't read the books, yet. I won't until I've seen all the movies. I did that with Harry Potter, read some of the books and then seen the movies.. .... N e v e r a g a i n.

Stephanie Meyer is a horrible writer. Maybe if she could write worth a damn the series wouldn't have been so terrible, but the movie was bad because the book wasn't any good itself. And the book wasn't good simply because Stephanie Meyer cannot write to save her life.

You know what's sad? That some of these people say she sucks as a writer, yet they can't do any better. >.>

They're also not getting paid millions (hundreds of thousands?) for writing, either. No offense and all, but it doesn't take an amazing writer to recognize someone who couldn't write her way out of a box.

I probably COULD write better than her. Not like it's hard to do.

I said some people. I was not being specific with who, and I actually didn't mean you, Josh.

Also... It's a book you hate and a writer you dislike. Why get so competitively bitchy over it?

Thats the only reason I read Twilight as well, made it have way through the second if that and was like okay, going to read a text book, that being more fun LOL.

If Arni and I compiled all the writings we've done between Nephriel and Jair, we would probably have somewhere close to 300 pages. We've counted before, and it was over 200. But, it just wouldn't flow into a book. You know? Also, people here might write amazingly, but do they really have the patience to sit and write a book series with a plot that will sell well, and something that flows easily enough for someone to want to just sit and read until they're finished?

On the topic of Twilight, I looked up required books for my Eng 102 class next semester. And what is on that list? Yes, as we all adore, the lovely Twilight. I refuse to buy it. I'm borrowing my boyfriend's sister's copy. That is eight dollars I plan to keep, kthnx.

Y’know, personally I don’t think it’s a bad book. Just not my area. I mostly hate the movie and the casting for it. I have to give Stephanie Meyer some props… I mean, writing is hard enough without creativity. Sure, sparkling vampires isn’t most peoples cup of tea, but I found it to be the funniest thing in the world. People hated Harry Potter at first, hell my grandmother still freaks out when wizards are mentioned. It’s really difficult to actually write perfectly. I’ve been writing a story for the past year and will get stuck on a part and redo it. Not saying I love the Twilight Saga, but I do love the plot and such aside from little things that get on my nerves. Those that like it, I say go for it.
