Yes.. the extra D was a typo.. I had to reread it 3 times, with Josh before realizing the typo was even there. Going back to edit it correctly now.

Alright, now that the damned evil D has gone away, can we get back to the on topic discussion?
Kathy and I are open to new idea's, however, the RB chats is not an option.

Well I vote for moderated live chat with dimmed colors. As long as everyone has their actual IGN I don't see why a live auction in the spring can't be another thing to look forward to.

Like I said. There's other Java chat applets that you can embed on a forum for free. Most of them are on networks that have other rooms for teens and stuff, BUT they also have options where you can hide your room from the list and require a password for entry. There's also kick and ban options. Just google it.
eta: You can also change color schemes.

That's what I said. Use Mibbit or something else where the colors are dimmed.
If you didn't notice... *points up* I am totally and completely for a live auction with that. Assuming, of course, that people can act grown up enough OOC to not completely fuck it up IC. I mean, honestly, why ruin something that most people enjoy simply because you want to be an ass?

Mibbet and mIRC are basically the same thing btw >.>
Mibbet just lets you enter the channels using a browser instead of downloading the program. You can customize your own colors there so it won't hurt your eyes.

*pout*
Josh says Mibbet doesn't work on my system. We've tried, it failed. He says he'll try to set something up, so we'll see.

I kind of feel the poll would benefit from IRC not being thinned down to two potential avenues and split (mIRC and mibbit). :< "IRC (e.g. mibbit, mIRC), moderatable" would be a nice way to put it. The problem with the other two (live) options is still that they can't be moderated by the auction holders. That means the scenario you guys mentioned in the other thread, that people come in en masse to ruin it for the others, is still a possibility; whereas on IRC you could effectively block that kind of behaviour. Ah well. :3 Edit: Majica: Make sure you have a recent browser - and JavaScript enabled.

Thank you for the suggestions. Josh is going to tinker around some on this old PC and see if he can get it to work. I do have Mozilla Firefox as well as AOL and IE. So hopefully he'll get something up and running.

Woo hoo! >.> Let Joshy be the computer geek.
I'd help, but my computer is only 4 years old, so I can't. My parents would've had the same problem on theirs, too, but I forced them to get a new one. ._. Hope you can get something up and running so you can see if it's possible to be done, Mon. <3
